Finally, talking about the Venza I have been waiting for about 9 months now Thanks Scotty
I have a 2011 Venza V6 FWD with 116k miles... I've had it since 2015 and have absolutely loved it. I put a hitch in it to pull my small boat, and am very happy. It's a vehicld that looks great, drives even better, and suits my lifestyle. I bought it thinking that I would get many years of use out of it... and I'm glad that it has the Scotty seal of approval. Yay!
Only smart people know about the. Venza

There are a LOT of insecure people in the world who think if they aren't driving around in a new car, they won't have the respect of their friends and neighbors. You also forgot to mention that people who drive around in high priced new cars also pay higher property tax on them in states like mine that collect annual tax on cars and trucks.
Thanks Scotty for talking about my FAVORITE car, so much so I have 2 a 2010 FWD and a 2015 (LTD AWD) LOVE this car!! Plenty of storage I can fit a full size inflatable mattress for wilderness travel , I've hauled a full size fridge, a stove, and it always amazes people of the amount of storage it has. My 1999 toyota Camry LE has 333k miles. Original transmission. Still works great!(:💚been in my family for over 20 years!

I had an 09 Vensa 4 cyl. with the removal of the carbon filter with a K&N intake filter, it got reasonable acceleration. Excellent car.
My sister once asked my advice between buying a used one of these or a used Cadillac SRX. I think I wisely guided her into her first Toyota. She had been a strictly GM girl for the last 30 years. That's been 4 or 5 years ago, still driving the Venza, no issues.
I remember when this first came out I was like a little kid and I loved them. The FJ cruiser was probably my favorite.

Great car and the AWD system was really surprisingly good. I got rid of mine at 168,000 miles. However, the rattles when you hit potholes are crazy. Also the steering is insanely soft, too much. Scotty please cover the Venzas issue with blowing main oil hose leading to catastrophic failure of engine! Some Highlanders and RX350 have this problem also.
I was talking to a good friend's son who works at a Toyota dealership and he told me you can't tow anything with an all wheel drive hybrid RAV4. If you think you might need to tow something, you must check this out first before you buy it, he said. Ask to see the owner's manual becausse the salesman probably doesn't know either. Also, you can't tow the vehicle itself without putting the car on dollies or on a flatbed (rollback). (I'm not an expert, just saying what he said.)

Currently on a road trip in my girlfriends 2010 V6 AWD Venza. Sitting around 140,000 and we’ve put about 1200 miles on it this road trip. Love this car! Really smooth and has a surprising amount of power to make the curvey sections of the road that much more fun. Wish it was my daily driver!
I knew this was going to be about the Venza when I saw the preview! I tried to convince the old lady that we should buy one for a family vehicle, but she Haaad to have a 3rd row for "when family visits" :rolleyes. I test drove one and loved it! Drive great like a car and has all the room and optional AWD helps in snow.

Bought two Venza V6 XLE's last month for my office drive team. Got excellent deal on both and they only had 37K and 58K miles on them. They are great for putting trouble free miles on the road for years to come.
My 2009 Lexus and my 2007 Avalon have that 3.5 engine... I love them both...
Scotty, my wife has a 2019 RAV-4 Hybrid (new model) and it’s giving 40mpg average city/highway. We’ve owned for almost a year now and that’s the average that I’ve achieved since brand new. The best part is the range, it gives you around 515 miles with a full tank of gas and you fill it up with around $25 from almost empty.
Scotty forget to mention the older 4Cylinder AWD version. We love our 2015 LE AWD! I’ve read the V6’s can be harder and more expensive to work on.
I’m early. Nice. Keep up all your awesome KZread videos Scotty! I love them and they really teach me!
They sold quite well in my area and I see them almost every day. We have a 2011 V6 AWD model and it only has about 135,000 kilometers on it, but it's never needed anything but normal maintenance and still runs like it just rolled off of the line.
They ARE good (we had one at my dealership when I worked there) but there is only two discrepancies. The price (they stay around 8-12 grand in this condition) and The shiftablity is not a manumatic style transmission, it's a lockout style so if you put it in second at a light it won't start out there it just won't got past that point. It is useful for passing like if you are doing 70 and need to pass a semi you can slap it into 4 and pass him. All said just about every Toyota is a safe bet you can take Scotty's word on that. My wife drives a 05 Camry V6 with 250k miles. Runs like a top with just regular maintenance.
Keep up the good work Scotty!

Hey Scotty! I will guess your customer bought new ones without asking you first but I think you should recommend this process to everyone to save money! Thanks for all you do Scotty
Drove a 2010 Venza nine years loved it. No problems. Would buy a new one but it was not available when I was ready to replace it.
Dad has one, not bad at all, 8 years old with 110000 kms. The only downside to it is the large rims it has, not fun when buying tires. V6 aint bad either, not super fast, but it goes when you want it to. Super clean shifts too. Compared to my moms 2020 rdx, it rides stiffer though.
Never heard of them?? Now I'll be keeping my eyes open for them. My van and truck are both 99s and the van with a V-6 gets 21mpg. Olds made a good one back then! The head casting on the V-6 was designed a bit too narrow on the back but that was the only problem I found in 20 years. OH, my Ford F-250, 14mpg. Not the worst I have ever seen.

Sure glad I got my 2009 Venza before Scotty made this video and the prices go up. Got a V6, AWD with 86k miles for $10k, so “they’re not giving them away” (best deal I was able to find in MD/PA).. I don’t know how all these other Venza owners drive their vehicles, but I’m getting about 23-24mpg with about 85-90% highway driving averaging ~65mph. I do drive conservative, but not like a grandpa! I calculate the mileage when I fill up and it’s usually close to what the mpg display reads, so I’m pretty confident the mpg ratings for the old Venzas are pretty close. Kinda wish Toyota would have called the new Venza something else because now it looks like any other SUV. The original has a body shape that is close to the new Subaru Outback, i.e. kinda looks like a wagon a bit.

Scotty I love the channel! , I'm 22 and fresh out of college and I'm looking for a upgrade to my 04 Corolla S. I was thinking of the 2020 Camry TRD cuz it's got the reliability and build of Toyota (cuz I LOVE my Corolla) but I want something fast and badass at the same time without buying a junker like a charger or a Benz that'll drain my wallet. What do you suggest?
Me with my 99 Dodge Durango V8 SLT 4x4 pushing 400K miles and not slowing down. Only payed 600, only put in $900. Gas mileage might me crappy, but it’s dependable, safe, tows everything I need, parts are cheap. It’s amazing what immaculate care dose in a car, truck, SUV. Pennzoil platinum, motorkote, seafoam, and driving like a sane person and oil changes ever 5 K miles. Is what I’ve used. I suggest all of it.
I dont miss building these things but I agree with Scotty here, they made maybe one or two commercials for it. No way the thing is going to take off like they hoped if there is no advertising behind it.

With the mileage, doing some maintenance items to it (filter changes, trans. drain & fill, spark plugs) but overall pretty happy with it! 😊👍🏼
They didn't sell in high enough numbers because of its bloated, wide size. It was also never redesigned during its first run. They did face-lift the grill and headlights before discontinuing it.

I have a 2010 Vanza with 150K I love the car and it's never let me down, I travel several states for work and when I'm ready for another one, well I'll be looking for another Venza
My highway mpg is 25-27 on a 4.5 litre V8 Porsche Cayenne and it doesn't break down either - had her years and she's great fun. Cayenne weight is 2600kg / 5732 pounds. Ah and she is now 16 years old 👍 and sees the red line and beyond everyday 😁 and didn't even blow at 7500rpm
I have a 2010 V6 Venza with 310,000 km and it runs perfectly! I religiously change the oil every 5,000 kms. The car is loaded with Nav, back up camera, 10 speaker stereo, power trunk lid etc and everything works like it did in 2013 when I bought it used as a lease trade in from a dealership with 34,000 kms. Other than brakes, tires battery - its never let me down. It's been the best car I have ever owned. It owes me nothing and I'll drive it until it dies. I don't see any reason why I wouldn't get 500,000 kms out of it.
I have a 2010 Venza myself. I was just thinking the same thing Scotty said about it. It’s got over 100k miles in it but it doesn’t feel like it. Still feels like I’m driving a new(er) car. If anyone out there looked this video up because they’re considering getting one I would recommend it. It really is a nice car. Super comfortable nice smooth ride, decent performance. I’ve owned it for 10 years now and I’ve never had a single repair on it, all maintenance and that’s it.
Always liked these. Maybe my next vehicle.

Scotty Kilmer anytime my mechanics teacher showed me your videos and i fell in love with your content
Haha.. I just bought a used one.. I love it.. 95k miles and feels new.. so comfy
I have a 2010 same color, mine's AWD, panoramic sunroof 13 speaker ( yes 13) JVC sound system, GPS etc... I have 120K and runs like the day I got it, engine perfect, transmission perfect...I fully expect to run this until at least 200K. if not more. Comfortable for 4 people to go cross country with plenty of storage. Great car, and, take a good look at this vs the new Lexus SUV's, Nissan Murano and other... almost can't tell them apart. Never had a problem... just tires, brakes, oil etc Great car!
Scotty you're the best..I drove the Venza years back...I thought it looked alright but after driving it I wasn't impressed...the suspension wasn't up tp par...as I thought to should be the car felt empty tp me...'''I've been a Lexus&Toyota buyer for myself and my wife for a long time..I bought a newly designed Hylander instead...it was a little more expensive but a much better car...at least to me
