I must say Kenny once again you have amazed me. If there are any doubters on Kenny’s work, you will not be for long. I have purchased several rifles from Kenny and he has over delivered every time. As for Rim fire rifles, I have all 3, my first being an CZ457, Voodoo and RimX. Kenny built my Voodoo and it trust me when I say it shoots better than I ever could shoot. I shot so well I had Kenny build me a bolt action 6ARC and a 6 Creedmoor and I have to say they both shoot lights out. Kenny if you start doing upgrades to RimX bolts, I will ship mines out to you ASAP. Keep up the great work and thank you for making us sub par shooters look like pros!

forgive me if im wrong, but this sounds like sarcasm to me. Why spend the money on a rimx and then extra to do the work when you can just get a CZ or vudoo and save money?

@@larryhardside7636 Kenny built my CZ which is what I run in competition and it's exceptional. While I am a CZ fanboy there are merits to the RimX. RimX and Vudoo are Remington 700 clones which means a much wider variety of stocks/chassis/triggers than for the CZ. It also makes it easier to build a true trainer for a centerfire rifle with the same footprint. The downside to the Vudoo is the magazine which suffers from rimlock. Every match I've ever competed in has had a mag fail to load a round from people shooting Vudoo rifles. The RimX mags are better, but there is the problem of broken extractors. This solves that issue and moves the industry forward.

I'm with you. After running all 3 platforms. I can say the CZ457 has been the most reliable and has got me more podium finishes at local matches

Would be nice to see a video of rifle with new bolt and barrel mods shooting (down range results), and then install original rim x bolt with modified barrel and shoot again?

I've put 10,000+ rounds through my Vudoo 360 with very few feed issues. If you load the magazines with as much care as Kenny builds his rifles you won't have issues.

Uses Vudoo extractors which arnt as reliable for this upgrade....while great minds think alike, I had this figured out long before those FB post

I really dont understand this. I feel like if you need to redesign the dang bolt to get it to be more reliable, just get a Vudoo. Buying a rimx action for full price and then paying extra on top of that to mimic what the CZ and Vudoo already do is like reinventing the wheel.

Because vudoo is littered with its own problems and garbage Rubbermaid mags. They promised a fix... here we are 2 years later. The Rim-X is way smoother and better mag. CZ's are not as quick to change mags during a match and are limited to chassis choices. Also they are harder to balance

Does it work with the cone breech? Or does it require extractor cuts. I have no idea of the round count on my RimX I still have the original extractor and have never had a failure to feed or extract and only one misfire and it was with Eley ammunition and that lot misfired in three other rifles.

Yes. And same, I have two cases of ammo on a Rim-X with one extractor change. However, I'm aware to know how to maintain this system where others are not. Many have had issues with these extractors

The loss of prefit barrel options seems like a huge downside, though. But, I rarely shoot my RimX because of extraction/ejection issues. Interesting.

Prefits suck. Having built over a 1000 of these Rim-X's and testing prefits. Tolerances are not tight enough with prefits. I challenge anyone to show a prefit Rim-X's out perform one of mine

Lol.. 2 years now. Customer service reflects a product and those shops who build off them. Only if you could see the emails I get daily from folks who complain about the "competition" lack of customer service and how their rifles perform asking us to help them..... Besides theirs about to be a few better options 😉 get off the band wagon dude

Great mod. Why not just go with a custom CZ 457 build in the first place and skip the 700-based designs altogether? From what I've seen on the channel, it's not like the 700-based stuff shoots any better when comparing custom builds. What am I missing?

The CZ457 is a great choice. But some prefer having full size mags to mimic a centerfire and rem 700 accessories. The Rim-X is also way smoother and easier to balance compared to a CZ457

I'm hoping the new MDT ACC Premier Gen2 just released will help with balance. Combine it with a DPG custom 457 barreled action with a 24" thick pipe barrel would help get the weight out front.
