Sorry to burst your bubble, guys, but Akira Yamaoka did *not* write this track. He wrote Subuta.2 (Matt & Ryuji's theme) and Subuta.1 (Alice's theme). The credit for this song goes to Masatomo "VARI" Komakine and his band, The Riot -Teens of Anger- (which curiously enough also includes Kazutoshi Iida, creator of such games as Aquanaut's Holiday, Tail of the Sun, and Doshin the Giant). Currently, Komakine is part of the band "Ambient Punks".

Akira Yamoaka contributed only two tracks to this game and they end up being the two best pieces of music in the franchise. That speaks volumes of his composing prowess
