i also hate the narrative that being black = struggle. i remember being a kid and feeling so defeated when all the black representation i saw was about either slavery or racial discrimination. it's exhausting and now i refuse to partake in that. soft girl energy all the way ✨

@ABC-uq3mx Why is the majority only athletes? We need more attorneys, doctors (specifically og-gyns), professors, psychologists, guys up top in banking, or even cozy rested stay at home mothers and wives. You know exactly what she meant. Black people have other options to success besides music, football or basketball. Now the tide is changing and we need more representation. I wish the *norm* was seeing black women rested and pampered. To this day I get hundreds of comments saying how refreshing my life is but it shouldn't be refreshing. This is my normal. White women and others are told to marry well, but African Americans are the only who embrace struggle because it's all you see. My African friends have married well and started a family in a healthy environment. It's a Black American thing not a black thing.

Yes, it should be. Some people choose to look the other way so that they don't feel bad about themselves. Some people can't look away and stare in envy, instead of taking it as inspiration. In a country where we believe in "hard" work paying off. Why aren't we proud when others achieve success?

I told my nurse friend to just say she works in medical field but she didn't listen. Now she did that and she's with some bio tech rich dude who made her dream come true of quitting.

the most beautiful thing about Kelly's channel is that I think most of us watching are right around her age and experiencing a lot of the things she discusses - but the thing is... these videos will be absolutely LEGENDARY for the young kids coming up who will be looking for something to help them with getting through this stage of life (early - mid twenties things) to find and binge. I don't understand when people say someone is not relatable anymore, it means they are doing nothing to grow in their personal lives. We can't always be the same over the years, our lifestyle will change with blessings, as long as someone retains their values I am always happy to see someone improve their lives.
