No-Hub coupling on cast iron pipes - How to do it correctly
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Showing how to use a no-hub coupling to connect two no-hub cast iron pipes.
The coupling has a flexible rubber piece and two clamps.
The clamps should be torqued down with 60 inch pound.

Thanks for showing the trick to fold the rubber back on the pipe. That tribal knowledge was gold for me.

These things are fucking expensive whats the cheap option this is a waste pipe not for shit who cares if its got metal sheathing? Why are these the recommended choice for cast iron to abs connection other than a money grab?

Well, to do it according to the plumbing code, metal shielded clamps like this are required. It's so there aren't problems down the road.

I feel more confident that some sort of varmint will not gnaw into it and cause more problem$. That snd on horizontal connections, I feel better if there is less flex.
