Ye, I think he's still on the fairy dust. If he had of left that and the booze alone on the 90s, he would have had a share of the spoils from Hendry of World titles and the other two biggies, but he still keeps spouting that hes one of the greatest. Unfortunaely he didn't lift enough trophies to be able to label himself that. Too deluded, and I was a big fan of his thru the 80s and 90s, now he is laughable. I can say that legitimately as I followed him for long enough.

My favourite part of this whole montage was Jimmy narrating it from not only a knowledgeable pundit’s POV, but also a massive Ronnie fan’s POV! ☺️ I loved what he had to say throughout & love hearing Jim’s stories of yesteryear as much as I love hearing him commentating on today’s game. Ronnie’s mad genius potting skills at JUST the right time got him to scrape by this time, but how long can he keep doing it? Either way, I’m overjoyed at his deserved win, and I’m the only one who keeps saying it: NOBODY in the game plays the MONSTER shots he plays, at the MOST CRUCIAL MOMENTS when it matters most, like he does. His long potting continues to astound & amaze. Roll back the tape Selby fans and prove me wrong: Mark gets in 9/10 times by easy 2 foot short straight in reds, and only 1/10 times with a brave, long red. Ronnie is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE: 9/10 times he gets in with IMPOSSIBLY LONG, blistering reds, sometimes out of nowhere, while baffling the commentators who didn’t even see the pot on. Ronnie is AS BRAVE as he is talented. All other players WAIT FOR OPPONENTS MISTAKES! Being in 🇨🇦 with such limited coverage of this stuff, getting to watch this behind the scenes was awesome so thank you and please do more when Ronnie is in a tournament please!! ☺️👌 COMEON RONNIE!!! 💪

Years ago I wasn't a fan of Ronnie's, not because of him, but John Virgo almost worshipped him & constantly said Ronnie is the greatest, he is now, but it was too early to say back then. But I've become a fan of Ronnie's because he speaks his mind & doesn't care who it is. The greatest in every sport always plays mind games with their rivals.

He constantly disrespects the game by moaning about money and not enough tournaments etc etc, and he constantly argues and disrespects officials and fans alike. He is arrogant and thinks the world owes him a living. He may be a genius snooker player but he does not come across as a nice guy at all. Nobody is forcing him to play. If he is so concerned than go and find another job. He poses with his Children after winning the tournament acting like a family man yet has barely ever seen his eldest daughter in her life. He refused to help his eldest daughter recover from a drug addiction, yet he met the mother of his two other Children whilst in rehab revovering from a drug problem. The man is a complete hypocrite.

Been amazing to watch him for 30 years, one of the greatest sporting talents I've ever witnessed. Two of my snooker heroes, love them both. They used to do exhibition's together back in the early nineties, after the exhibition Ronnie will remain on the table practicing and Jimmy will be in the clubs the bars wherever there is fun, Jimmy is there.

As much as I love the Ali Pali, nothing beats the atmosphere at the old Wembley Conference Centre. Good memories 😊

That’s the scary bit. The afternoon he was going for ridiculous shots and almost taking the piss. But when the prospects of losing became a reality he switched his game to slightly more conservative and won. That he can even choose to do that, confidently, is madness.

@@patrickmcdonagh539 It's not nonsense at all. Did you watch the game? First session he was trying cross-doubles, mental pots, all over the place - no safety, leaving the table open. Second session he concentrated, knuckled down and got on with it - and he won the session 7-1. Carter was shaking like an addict going though withdrawal at the end. Ronnie is different class. It's like comparing Man City with Preston North End.

I know Ali has previously had cancer and he suffers with other health conditions but he so fkin miserable! Rarely smiles and seems so stern and uptight constantly. Although he shouldn't have made those egoistic proud expressions when he was ahead of Ronnie nd winning frames...That backfired so brutally though😢

If you ask me, the guard should have known better. But what is snotting on the floor for him... we all know that Ronnie is not the most subtle when it comes to nose picking, showing faces, coughing etc. But whether he'd deliberately release some big amount of snot on the floor in front of all cameras and 2000 people also seems unlikely to me. And I'm sure the referee would give Ronnie a warning for this if this was the case. Just not sure what to make of all this. It's clear that they don't get along well and nobody really knows why I'm afraid. I thought that they had burried the hatchet after the shoulder barge, but clearly not.

@@MrUberboss The camera isn’t always on the player who’s sitting in his chair and I’m sure Ronnie would clearly see the cameraman if he was pointing it at him. I think he’s probably done to show a lack of respect for carter. Even when carter was getting interviewed after the match Ronnie walked away and stood with his family. Poor sportsmanship

Ali Carter, it is you that sets a bad example for the game of snooker. Always having to be second best to someone who is far superior to you around the table, can cause past mole hills to grow into mountains. Grow up, along with the Murphy's and other moaners in the game. Ronnie has done more for the game than any of you, acknowledge and respect his talent and you may learn something if you understand him better, than you are willing to.
