Great cast of great acting. Carson Wells (Woody Harrelson) shines!

I know what that atmosphere looks like now. The only other I have to compare to this one is Fargo, and it does feel like it in some regards!

The Americans gave the cartel a tracker, too. Part of the reason Anton killed the American buyer upper management (and Woody; those were not feds), he was offended they thought he needed help. In the book he finds the top guy and gives him the recovered money, telling him there will be a new operation going forward. I wish they filmed that. Also, in the book the DEA makes a brief appearance at the desert crime scene, and towards the end Sheriff Bell tries to get other authorities to look for Anton but they don't seem too interested. One theory is that the American buyer is CIA-backed (there are real-life examples of this). You should watch THE COUNSELOR next to see how bad Cormac McCarthy thinks the border drug scene got. And Bell's uncle was played by the great Texas actor Barry Corbin, not Brimley. Good reaction, you guys were more on-point than most.

i completely relate to the "small talk", small town scence.... being from (& have never been out of more than a handful of times) po'dunk lil town in East TN i mean, I'm not as realisticlly diabolical.....but oh! how i can relate. ....not everybody wants to chit-chat wit y'all. just ring me up & hit me with the damage - then g'day - please n' thank ya! lol.

I don't think it was a hammer. It was likely a compressed air gun to the head. Haha. You're right though, who could see this coming? Someone told me it was the most accurate depiction of a psychopath on film. Maybe they were right. Great to hear from you, hope you and your family are well!

@@CocktailFlicks Hey guys, good to hear from you too! All is well in tiny little Holland, how about you? This was one of the few movies that left me speechless. Btw, have you already seen X and Pearl? I finally gave into the hype and it was a joy!

@@jannetkoolman5645 Sorry, totally didn't see the reply. Things are good here as well. We have not seen X or Pearl, but they do look interesting. I don't think I have seen a movie with Mia Goth for that matter. Everyone including you now says they are good movies, so why not?

@@CocktailFlicks Please do. You will not be disappointed. Because of the hype I avoided it, a hype usually means I think it’s crap 🤣. Same with Squid Game. Did you see that? Worth the hype

NOTHING a psychopath does - to "normal" folks - is "necessary"......but they're gonna do it anyway.

For your guy’s info, the ‘machine slash oxygen tank’ that Chigurh uses is a captive bolt stunner which is normally used to peacefully kill cattle, sheep etc. Plus apparently, Chigurh was scientifically proven to be the most accurate portrayal of a psychopath in all movie history 😅
