The workmanship is as it should be. No short cuts. The teaching is gold. Can’t wait for school to start so younger people can learn the ropes.

Loving your work ethic ! Also I caught that you prepared financially for what you are doing! You make happy that you are not dependent on others to finance your project. Our renovations were all done with our own money back in the day.

@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries that is very kind. I have much work to do here at home so that would be so handy. Next big one is to replace the flat roof on our bathroom.
You two are really working so hard...I'm almost happy winter is coming so you can hopefully slow down a little bit. Knowing how you are though, you'll be at it on the inside soon!

Hi John yes they are starting to do it now in the UK but the norm is thicker single battens for Nailing now having done the French way a couple of times it seems a lot quicker with the hooks as ive been tiling all day today and its very enjoyable John all the best Budo 🍺🤠👍🏻
Great stuff. Very informative. This info will come in very handy for us in the future😬👍Looking forward to this afternoon🤗

Question why the center board is not thicker and why no stringers on the side beams. However the detail of your workmanship is a list set in modern carpentry today. Beautiful work for both of you.
Is your kitchen facing your garden? I keep thinking a big window would have been great. There must be a reason you have one window by the outside door on the right. I realize it will be fabulous when you are finished. This has gone up so fast. I never get tired watching you work together. ❤❤❤

Yes it is Jandolph7509 there is a good reason to why we did not put a window facing the garden and yes it will be beautiful when it is finished. We are so glad you are enjoying the vlogs 😊 xx
Budo you're right, I'm doing some research and the prices of the timber in Italy and France are incredibly expensive compared with UK the prices. Mate you married a warrior, Tracey is doing a remarkable job. Is she pointing with hot lime o NHL 3,5. ? I hope you don't get tyred of my question. Greetings.

Hi Tony no mate we are now using lime putty we made up nearly a year ago we did begin with 3.5 but it's to hard for this building really as it was originally slip clay mixed with Lime putty to bed the stones hope that helps mate
Are you going to put stone around the outside to make it look like the rest of the house?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to pop over to the uk to picknup sone wood from there.

Hi Patricia thank you yes 🪵 is cheaper in the UK but it wouldn't be worth doing that unless I bought a container load 😉 x
