Hi Mal it's good to see your squash have bounced back to looking healthy and ready to go back out . Fingers crossed 🤞 that they will do just fine for the rest of the growing season 😊 It's been the year for odd weather. Hopefully, the summer will balance out. Great video Mal, looking forward to your next video 🙂👍

Wasn't close enough to see any Blight, dark brown patches on the leaves and stems is what you are looking for. You have reminded me to check my broad beans. Nice update my friend. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

I see Martin has an RHS national collection of wheelbarrows! I don’t think that potato is blight Mal. Really interesting to see how well those plants have recovered in pots. I would put one of them back in the same soil, and watch what happens. If it regresses, you know the soil is contaminated. Cracking episode mate, enjoyed the look at Martin’s plot!

It’s Martin is a member of Yorkshire’s Wheel Barrow Display Team and has plethora of barrows to choose from 🤣🤣 Yes I think that would be to put just one squash back into the same bed and monitor it and see what happens pal? Thanks for stopping by Martin it’s appreciated 🙏😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙏

Small variety marigolds planted really close to tomatoes help them to grow and repel insects. Put one in each hole, perhaps.? Garden is looking lovely.

permanent dampness in soil can be very detrimental to plants. try adding a bit of sharp sand to improve drainage................brian

Thanks for the advice Brian I’ll see if I can get hold of some grit too because certain areas of the plot sure hold onto water.🙏😊👍

Ok I have to ask what the heck did you do to your hat 😂😂. I’ve done the chucking soil everywhere even in lettuce I have washed 🤦‍♀️. Didn’t you have a picture of the wall o’tools (when the fork returned)? It has rained a bit and been hot a huge swing in temps. 9:52 do you not worry about slugs under all that plastic? My tomatoes well most of them are coming back to life 🙏. Martin’s site looks great thank you. Have a super week hope it’s a warm and sunny one, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦

Ali I get very attached to my hats too attached some might say🤣 We visit Cornwall every year so I always treat my self to a new hat, I have to admit I am in dire need of one 🤣🤣 I rather collect and squish a few snails and slugs than have to pull out all the weeds that grow …… If only our veg were as prolific as the weeds🤣🤣 Have a good week Ali and thanks for stopping by🙏😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

05:30 start at the plot? That’s dedicated Mal. Question about your first tomato bed, what type of membrane is it that you put down? It looks quite thick and high quality.

DPM mate damp proof membrane it’s good stuff and you can cover 75% of a plot for around £50 mate. Screwfix Do it I think?🤔 Thanks for tuning in mate😊👍

Pleased the squash and some of the outdoor toms have improved. Look forward to seeing the difference between the soon to be potted new toms from martin and the ones you plant in the ground. I wonder if the potato you showed was the amino pyralid ( not sure if that’s spelt right) rather than blight, just because on my screen the leaves looked stunted?.

Yes I wonder too Anita? Terry King has described what blight symptoms look like it doesn’t look like blight so that’s a relief 😅 Thanks for tuning in and have a lovely week 😊🙏😊
