Well done on helping your neighbour with his shed, what a lovely thing todo. I have been using beer traps for the slugs with fairly good results. Have a great week Tracy

So nice of you and your neighbor to fix the roof for another neighbor. Don't know too much about things that eat a garden, but do hope you can figure it out and fix it.

So nice of you and Martin to help a neighbour 💪. 7:20 😂 rhubarb I think they are beets Mal . Yes they are just small leeks and edible. Hopefully things settle down soon and we can enjoy a few slower days. For being so dry here I am having issues with slug damage on my tomatoes 😢. Have a super weekend, Ali 🌥️🇨🇦

Hi. My onions and garlic have bolted. I spotted a snail having a meal, eating the tips of onions. I get your meaning about growing things for slugs and snails to polish them off. War !! Elaine🌱🌱

You have an organized, beautiful allotment. I'm always smiling when I see you've posted a video. I'm also one of those folks that don't accept growing fruits and veggies for snails. I'm a California subscriber, and we're able to get a product that's actually been approved for organic gardening. It's called Sluggo. Safe for use around animals. I only need to use a few pellets around plants. I don't know if it's available in your area, but if it is, hopefully you can use it.

I have had the bolting issue with leeks Mal. I took them home, stripped them down and extracted the hard, thick flower stalk. Then chopped up and used the outer, useable layers. A much reduced harvest, but makes the best of a bad situation. I saw one KZreadr put socks on his maturing sweet corn to keep the pests off! The plot looks marvellous. Oh, and thanks for the update on Leeds United!

Mal I was so happy to see a Buddleia Globosa! I had one when I lived in London but my neighbour hated it and I think she threw weed killer on it and it keeled over. It was huge! even though I pruned it every year. She was always complaining about the bees on it. You've reminded me to get another one. You don't see them very often in garden centres here in southern Scotland. Maybe I can get one online. Your plot looks so tidy compared to mine. I'm still battling couch grass and dock, but making good progress now the weather has improved. Happy gardening!
