And I thought my garden looked like a nursery 😅 the greenhouse looks fab as always. My sprouts are safe on a table in a huge pot. Liz Zorab says slugs can dig and hide up to 6’ below ground 😡 we are quite literally screwed then. We don’t like rubber beans but we do love our French beans 🫘. This means war 🐌🐌🐌. I haven't sown any sprouts and now I think I'm too late so I might have to buy some plants in 🤔.

I definitely agree that 6am is the best time of the morning. I have slowly been shifting my husbands sleeping pattern so he could enjoy the sunrises in the garden with me, but it is almost impossible as he is an owl. Your plot looks amazing! I am jealous 💚

Greenhouse is looking great Mal. Those runner beans are great 👍 Shame about the sprouts and the slug damage. They ate all my first set of beans. Waiting for 2nd set to grow bigger before planting out. Have a great week.

All looking good Mal. Funnily enough I got slug pellets yesterday. They chomped through some of my stuff midweek so just to get me to the weekend I sprinkled cinnamon around and it really helped. Eggshells and grit has never worked for me. PS. My first lot of parsnips are going great!! Waiting for the 2nd lot to come through now .

Lost about 5 of my first lot of parsnips my second lot are in a bag under the bench and have just started to germinate. I’ve also chanced my arm direct sowed some fingers crossed 🤞 we have plenty of parsnips this autumn/winter. Thanks again for tuning in 🙏😊👍

Nice tomatoes. I plant basil next to mine and jalapeño peppers. I also put a couple of tablespoons of milk powder in the hole. Your garden is coming along nicely.

Ah yes. Basil (and Marigolds) I hear is a god companion plant to Tomatoes. I'll be doing this also - if my Basil grows that is!

Adds calcium and helps prevent blossom end rot. I think it also helps the last of the seasons tomatoes mature and turn red.

Hi just subbed ive been using nettles and brambles chopped up as a mulch around everything for 50 years now it does help but change often happy gardening Richard x

My sweetcorn just starting to pop now, i put some broccoli and cabbages out about 3 weeks ago and the wind disseminated them so definitely worth waiting mal... side of house looks great
