I had bought the eco fuel saver and all it did was flash lights, even with the key off. At night the flashing lights were so bright it was distracting our driving. After seeing some videos on this and realized it was a scam, I sent it back and luckily got my money back. Thank you for testing and proving these are a scam.

on a par with alleged 9 watt 12 volt "camping" LED bulbs that measure out at a LOT less than that, or their 12 volt "Super Li-ion Rechargeable Batteries Battery 1800-20000mAh Batteries Pack"..... say what? 20,000 mAH = 20 hours at 1 amp ...... ummm... When I saw this advertised I thought it was too good to be true....but maybe not. But now with your expertise I know it is a bin job!!

Agree, very strong and sound basis to your reasoning. I installed a similar brand given to me, on my GM vehicle and piggy backed through first a Monica, then a tech 2 and observed data even though processed, for variation under identical testing. Keep your money and spend it on quality oil and filters. Cold air induction would give a good result rather than a resistor to the IAT circuit

Well thanks to your video I wont be buying this junk. I see so many with claims of gains but in real life you get nadda off the junk that is sold. Only way to get true gains taking to a mod shop and having car remapped if it can be remapped or bigger gains turbo or supercharger :)

The 16 up rx350 suffers from driveability issues, hesitation, stumbling on acceleration. I plugged in a power tune module, all bad habits are gone. I talked with power tune, they said it slightly raises ignition timing. That’s all it needs.

I'm thinking a hardware performance/fuel savings switch on the plug-side somewhere hard to switch when it's plugged in (of course you could always wire it to the big red button in your reversible cup holder). Yes, it does nothing to reprogram the ECU and as such it can safely be removed at any time.

if you waned moar power: 1.CAI (cold air induction) 2.Good fuel and oil 3.reflash the ecu (this will work for sure), *not by plugging this device!*

I've seen where people have used these types of "enhancers" and tested them on a dyno. They get the same results. These are nothing but a placebo effect if anything. Wouldn't it be better to have a sticker on your dashboard that says don't drive like a maniac and then you would have better fuel savings.

What this does is to do the “Passive” ECU reset that is currently included in every modern car. I’ll tell you why you don’t need this tool. It’s very simple. It works like this: You simply turn the ignition ON (without starting the engine). Hold the gas pedal all the way in for more than 5 seconds. Preferably 30 seconds. Without depressing the gas pedal, turn the ignition Off. Let the gas pedal go. Wait about 1 min. Start the engine. This will reset the user learning habits of the ECU. In conclusion, yes this device is a scam, what this device does is just to activate a simple code via OBD which is “Holding the Gas pedal sensor all the way in”. So that when you turn the car on you Kinda feel a difference. Yes it is noticeable for those that owned a car for at least few years and have never perform an ECU learning habit reset. And that’s why the PCB in this device is so simple and useless.

Hi. My friend also tried to debunk this device. On the bench we found nothing but just a blinking device. did many bench test, ecu simulation and signal interception. same result as what you get. got another two units with different repackaging and replicate the test. same result. we actually did indirectly stir a big issue in my nations automotive community when publishing the result. many haters with hands-on experience slam us big time defending that they experience difference after using. we repeated the above bench test and it still yield the same result and the whole keyboard war was ongoing for weeks. the last straw came when we decided to plug into an actual ecu rather than a simulator then monitor the ecu behaviour. surprise. the flashing led did trigger changes to the ecu. what we found in less than a minute the ecu keeps resetting. As we dug deeper, we discover this simple small device is actually sending out an error or voltage to the ecu. You can see from the board that some of the obd pins are actually connected. as such, we believe the ecu initiates it's resets mode without triggering ecu check engine light. conclusion from our studies. this device partially works. it inhibits your ecu from trying to learn or run adaptive mode. forcing your car to run the factory tune and settings all the time. what is not true is the bold claim of increase power and reduced consumption. hope this puts the whole myth down to rest.

I've seen that link before, and I admit that the PCB layout is different than the one I have, however from the front side of the board it appears to have all data pins going through 10kohm resistors just like the one I have. Perhaps it has something different on the back, but I'm skeptical. Yes the concept could possibly work, and if someone and provide a non clone nitro obd2 (if such a thing exists) I would be willing to test it. The Nitro OBD2 and ECO OBD2 I have both do nothing and can do nothing by how the electronics are arranged. Just expensive blinking lights.

I have plug the nitro OBD into my 10 year old rust wheeler. On butt dyno there is a very hairline improvement in throttle response. Apart from that, no improvement in power nor reduced fuel consumption. Agree on overall, the product fails to deliver what it has claimed. There are diehard fans hammering us stating that small improvement of even 1% is an improvement. We just ignore them. The device is now sitting in my old junk car serves as a miniature cabin light for my foot.

garfieldwithissuez hello, i am a professional ecu tuner here in europe, it is possible to have better fuel savings with increased hp and torque but this is accomplisced only with a relaxed driving style, specially with diesel cars here in europe very diffused, is not rare to obtain 30-35hp increases and make 70-80 extra miles with a tank, but this changes radically when we consider gasoline fuelled cars, it is hard to achieve fuel savings with increased pergormance, but not impossible at all, many clients reported marginal fuel savings in gasoline cars too, but better results only with diesel cars and a "normal" driving style, for those with "sport" driving, well, it ia obvius, more power=more fuel. The reason behind the fuel savings in "normal" driving is because when you accelerate to reach a cruising speed in the highway for example, in this moment, you are using more fuel, but yoy reach faster the cruising speed, and lift the pedal, and in little pedal load, usually the car ECU map is stock. But you are RIGHT! my friend, this kind of "device" is a scam. When i had seen this devices on sell everywere, i thinked, it is impossible to make what they say, remapping a ECU is car specific, and is needed a good skillset human operator with a proper hardware, not achievable in automatic with a "scam device" of 3-5$. Exactly my point. Though, I don't think I could ever live with a "relaxed" driving style in my 85 Z31, though I could live with it in my 09 Ford Explorer (as it get about 12 miles to the gallon) haha. Anyway, I just finished deleting the cruise control on it a few minutes ago and am going to see how I feel after dinner before I change the oil. That might wait till Sunday but I'd like to have it done before tomorrow as I'm planning on taking it to lodge with me. I did take a video of it and am planning on starting a channel of my own around the Restomod of my Z31 as there are a lot of z32 videos out there but not many on the 80s models. haha Cheers from Texas!

Installed today on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer performance gains were noticed almost 1 mile down the road. Sorry but the chip works in my car.

It does work the original one on my ml blew and to replace it was nearly 300 sods spent 5 sods on eBay and 6 months later still going strong
