[Nitro+Chiral] All Game Openings (2005-2021)

DISCLAIMER: Togainu No Chi True Blood 2008 apparently had two intros which includes Watanabe's GRIND and Break the Chains. I wanna have this info out because I didn't misinform that Break The Chains was made ONLY for the PlayStation portable 2010. Break The Chains was played for True Blood 2008 along with GRIND. However, I wanted the video to flow better by having the Break The Chains op for 2010.
NOTE: Sweet Pool for the Playstation Vita was only released in Japan hence the op is sung in Japanese. Same applies to Dmmd re:code
UPDATE: There is an error during the Slow Damage OP where the text "2021" is shown in the middle. I apologize for that. I've already reuploaded this video and somehow a mistake like that slipped past me.

I need more nitrochiral in my life. Cant imagine not ever playing the visual novels.
The contrast between dmmd VS all the other titles, they all have neutral / real life ish colors while dmmd is a color bomb, even aoba stands out as the bright lab freak amongst the protagonists
Bruh I've waited 10 years for nitro to get this big of a following. I'm so glad slow damage is getting the attention it deserves and I'm glad we're getting official releases !!! I only waited 10 years. I'm not crying you are
This has been a nice glimpse into previous series but also, PROUD OF HOW FAR THEY CAME :") the visuals and animations ahhhh. I've played DMMD and SD, I love their songs a lot, but also I think I like the one for Sweet Pool. I already have another song from it in my playlist...I don't remember it's name tho lolol

I'm just in love with how they draw the noses...been my favorite part of the art since for probably around 10ish years..? Man dmmd being around for almost 12 years messes me up lol. It still feels like that's a new game I found in 2014

Honestly, I'd miss too much because of censorship. SD lore is pretty heavy, and nowadays, this kind of content is not that well received. Also, it wouldn't make justice to the original source.

How does NiroChiral get all these good bands to make music for them? somehow they know exactly what fits into their theme for each game!

Personal ranking (I’m avoiding spoiling anything): 1. Slow Damage The production was obviously high-quality with amazing art (so many CGs!) and music, the characters were very well-written, the gameplay was immersive. It has one of the best overall themes and execution I’ve seen. Very good price too, I believe release price was around $22 for 50+ hours of gameplay (definitely more if you’re not speeding through it or using a guide, I’ve seen people who’ve spent upwards of 80-100 hours on the game). After 100% the game, I think I came out of it a better person, it was such a good and realistic depiction of long term trauma, bad coping mechanisms, and healing. 2. Sweet Pool Tbh this is peak Nitro+Chiral (if not for the entire groundbreaking release of Slow Damage), one of the most interesting approaches to body horror I’ve seen. The themes are subtle but overt at the same time. One of the most unique yet cathartic games I’ve played. 3. DMMD (+re:connect) This is probably the most popular Nitro+Chiral game (but idk if it still is after SD release), and it makes sense since it feels the most mainstream (only nitro+chiral game to have original JP version as first-person, considerably lighter tone overall than the others while still being dark). The characters were all individually interesting, and re:connect really adds a lot to the experience too. Feels like a typical saving-the-world visual novel/anime, would highly recommend to beginners as a gateway. 4. Togainu no chi As N+C’s first game, it’s a bit unpolished and unfiltered(for lack of better word), there is not really a clear theme present in the game other than the horrors of the society the characters are in. But it’s not bad, I really enjoyed the main character’s development within each route, he feels like his own character rather than self-insert (although that is a common trait among N+C protagonists, which I do enjoy). It does have it’s own charm and comes with a bit of early 2000s nostalgia aesthetic. Due to Lamento not having official english release, I’ve tried playing a fan patch but couldn’t really get hooked on it. I might try it if it gets official release (which is unlikely, seeing as Jast postponed it ‘indefinitely’) but I feel as I may not enjoy it as much- as in sweet pool liner notes Kabura’s advisor mentioned that there’s a balance between pleasing yourself vs pleasing the audience, and Lamento leaned too much into pleasing the audience. Personally, one of my main reasons to like a piece of media is that it has strong passion and vision, so if I don’t feel it I may not enjoy it as much. But that is just my personal opinion.

Oh goshh your rank is exactly like mine lol I've never played Lamento before so I can't rank it too. But yeah SD is number one for me rn and I might add that dmmd has the best ost for me though lol I really like Goatbed and I was so excited knowing they also sing in Rei's ending😍

I heard this was their last game, no?
Togainu no chi's soundtrack was sooooo good. One of their best for sure.
My favourite plylist on youtube
only ever played dmmd and some sweet pool AGES ago, but now revisiting their older titles after playing through slow damage (which was indeed a masterpiece). The effort & consideration they put into finding artists for their sound design and OSTs is immaculate. They all match so well, and the fact that TNC has 3 openings is just a plus for me ;)))
I FREAKING LOVE SLOW DAMAGE !!!
I played all of them (except the ones in PS Vita or only in japan) and really nitro+chiral was getting better time by time. Their game have really rollercoaster stories and i'd love all of them. But here my top favourite : 1. Slow Damage 2. Lamento 3. Dramatical Murder 4. Sweet pools 5. Togainu no chi There is one of their game which we can play it in android, it called Clean Dishes, Slow damage sequel. But this game only in japan 😔💔

Opening "DRAMAtical murder re connect" the most spoiler... 😓
True Blood and Re:Connect are my favorites
bro I could replace my life with these games, nitro-chiral VNs are the best .
I've played basically all the games (including mizuki/yukihitos routes/a bit of clean dishes) and this is how I'd rank them (by personal taste): 1. Lamento: To me it's just an S tier game in general. The story is amazing, the setting is beautiful and immersive, the characters and their interactions are so well done, the VO is top notch, the fight scenes are shockingly well choreographed (harkening back to N+'s action roots) and the OST is so good I sometimes listen to it casually when im doing something else, which is hard to say for most VN OSTs. I'd honestly call this a Kamige its just that good LOL. 2. DRAMAtical Murder (including reconnect and recode): It was my gateway drug to BLVNs and I'm very heavily nostalgic for it. I already have a big love for scifi in general so seeing a game tackle topics unique to the genre (i.e. the sentient robot dilemma or cyberpunk classism) in a BL lens is absolutely wonderful! The soundtrack is also one I listen to casually, Isshi Shuuji/GOATBED did such an amazing job on it it's not hard to see the influence the music had on the game. Also Clear is like my favourite character in all of media lol!! Also to all of you who have the ability to play it, Mizuki's route is WORTH IT ITS AMAZING !!!! VERY N+C CORE!!! 3. Togainu no Chi (including TBA): Now this one isn't here out of quality necessarily, being the first game and all it definitely has some kinks to iron out, but to me that's what makes the game even better! It's a very well preserved time capsule of edgy mid 2000s anime/BL that has aged decently overtime. It's such a fun, campy romp throughout a good amount of the game that it catches you offguard when it has actual good in-depth character moments. I especially love the talk of drug addiction and overcoming said struggles highlighted in certain characters' story arcs (iykyk), it read to me as very sweet and charming. Def not a read for everyone, but it's amazing for those who can appreciate its charm points! 4. Sweet Pool: I have not played the PSvita port (and honestly who would want to) but SP made me feel a certain way.... It's hard to describe but it made me feel wistful and somber, depressed I guess(?) over the situation presented in the game. The 4 main boys don't really have much hope for a future within the story, and the atmosphere and writing makes that known every goddamn second you play it. It's like a crushing malaise that seeps into your lungs and drowns you, fitting for a denpa utsuge. It's supposed to make you sad and cry, and it does that job amazingly! It's only this low due to the problem of ordering. In actuality, most of these are basically on equal ground as amazing games, I just need to order them for the sake of this list ^^; 5. Slow Damage: Again, like with Sweet Pool, I had to put SD here for ordering's sake, but that doesn't discredit the game from being amazing! Some of the mechanics within the game are very well designed and serve a purpose within the grad scheme of the plot, not just being a fun gameplay section but actually being relevant within the story. I love and appreciate Fujieda's story in particular, since it's a beautiful tale of self discovery and recovering from trauma. Honestly, I feel like SD is this low because I just haven't had enough time to absorb the story and truly appreciate it, so my opinion might change over time. However, I can still acknowledge that this is probably N+C's magnum opus, a culmination of everything the company has learned over its 23+ years of developing games. It feels like a celebration of how far Nitroplus has come, and I'm all here for it!
good job :D
Man watching this make me wanna play Lamento more but i dont think there will be an Eng version 😭
