It's french and translates to the following: "le coup" - generally a "strike", can be a punch, a shot, just any form of violent force that's directed "de" - an indicitive preposition, can be "of", "from", "for", etc. "l'état (m)" - "the state" i.e. the ruling gouvernment Therefore: "a strike against the gouvernment", an attempt to overthrow the current rulers.

this is what most story authors nowadays forgotten about when it comes to writing smart characters. Every plans will inevitably go haywire, because no smart person are given enough information and/or time to think through everything. It's the ability to weasel your way out when things go haywire is what set aside genius characters and plot armor.

They literally show him to be superhuman minimum level in the show, being able to REACT TO BULLETS and RUN ON WALLS. It's my headcanon that whenever 'Zero' is talking, he's speaking in Japanese, while 'Lelouch' talks in English, which makes all the scenes where Zero is just talking to Kallen (like when his mask is off and he's in a warehouse) make a lot more sense. I sorta wish there was a version of the show edited with this concept, like using the sub for the parts where characters would be speaking Japanese, and the dub for everything else. Also yeah I'm sad they made Kallen a goon sometimes for the sake of dramatic tension or whatever. "Don't go into the anti-knightmare zone it's literally strong enough to turn off the Lancelot" *goes into the anti-Knightmare zone two minutes later*.

Nobunaga was already quite the provocateur, so it's in keeping with his already rather sacrilegious demeanor to try to produce such a reputation, but I'm not entirely sure if it was a product by the man himself or something attested to him after the fact that feels like it would fit him. The thing with Lelouch, is that he is very different depending if he is in neuron activate mode or not. When he is psyched up, he can scheme real good plans and even improvise on the fly against unknown, new elements. When he is relaxed and is surprised by something or gets hit with EMOTIONAL DAMAGE, he loses his cool and makes stupid decisions.

But ngl these dramatic lines actually made him feel a lot more human. Normally when the animes jus show the cold mcs and all, they forget to include there's a dramatic side to all of us

I like that for as smart as he is, he does fumble and make simple mistakes. It wouldnt be interesting if every single thing he did was perfect. It feels like hes barely keeping his cover in season 1. Like believably 17. Im so happy at the stuff I can do with this power

4:43 well in his defense he knew kirihara taizou, the man who originally lied about Prime Minister Kururugi's murder. Even Suzaku knew Zero was well connected, so there was no reason to suspect lelouch.

Lelouch's bromance with Suzaku is basically one of the best things about the show.

The least belivable part about the cat chase scene, is that the cat even ran with the helmet on it's head. Any cat owner would know that once they get something on their head, it's like they stop working. They start going backwards

Lelouch had put the costume in a suitcase but hadn't put the helmet where the cat couldn't get to it, leading to the cat fiasco.

I mean, I'm not denying that since he wasn't exactly in the right state of mind, but he was like 15-30 meters away when mao got shot in the head.. kinda hard to not hear a gunshot from that close. Unless I'm misremembering
