Nissan Xterra & Frontier. Leaf Springs Replacement.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is my video for when my father and I replaced the OEM broken leaf springs of my 2006 Nissan Xterra. I replaced it with new OME ARB CS061r 4+2 leaf springs, new greasable shackles, new bushings and new u-bolts. It increased the rear lift of the Xterra from 34.5 inches to 37 inches.
I hope you find it helpful.

Great job man. Just did this....and i had to go back and put more grease on bushings because they wouldn't slide properly...never mind the two ignorant arm chair quarterbacks about grease....totally necessary

Any suspension work is way harder and takes longer without an impact driver and air ratchet.

good video- I just did mine (2012 xterra) before watching this - too bad! I recommend taking off corner plastic trim for access as you show, i just loosened screws and bent it up out of the way. Also always replace shackles when you do the spring packs. OEM shackles are press fit pins and hard to remove. Mine were seized, and rusted, but i didn't have shackles so reused. will advise how that goes...... Used penetrant and let it sit for a day, then started with a screwdriver, then 1 then another pickle fork and just pounded and pounded until they moved!. Also as a safety issue, a spring has retained energy-release one end before removing ubolt plate.....mine shot off when i loosened last of the 4 nuts...keep hands clear. Another idea - My X only broke BOTTOM (3rd) leaf, i think i would just replace that leaf if i had to do it again, given the bend remaining in the other 2. A spring shop (not autozone/ canadian tire) can supply the part and it would be less work and less cost...

Very helpful video. Did you do anything with the front to make up for the 2.5" lift in the rear?

Hey, Nice job. Sergii I have heard complaints that this setup becomes very noisy with popping sounds. Also, the ride becomes very rough. Any comments or findings?
