Nissan's unique e-POWER technology will help Qashqai to define once again bold innovation in the crossover segment that it originally invented in 2007.
The new Qashqai is the first model in Europe to be equipped with Nissan's e‑POWER drive system. Exclusive to Nissan and a key component in the company's electrification strategy, e-POWER offers a responsive, efficient and quiet drive.
The e-POWER system is comprised of a high-output battery that is complemented by a variable compression ratio 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-charged petrol engine generating 156hp, a power generator, inverter and 140kW electric motor of similar size and power output as found in Nissan's electric vehicles. The petrol engine generates electricity, which can be transmitted via the inverter to the battery pack, the electric motor or both, according to the driving scenario.
RELEASE DATE: Sales will start in September in European markets.

no CVT all electric, with petrol engine acting as a generator for the battery.

The cvt is very smooth
i want it in china
No spare wheel , so if you get stuck you can not move anywhere which could kill you if you are far away and get puncture without cell coverage.

That's quite the imagination you've got. If it's a situation that would genuinely risk your life, you can call emergency services without cell service as they use satellites to connect the calls.

I had my previous car 7 years, it had no spare wheel, and as far as I am aware I didn't die, or come anywhere close.
I love this car but no money ajajaj 😂😂😂
I like this new model, but will never go for it, I had 4 Qusqais all had battery problems after one year, replacing batteries all the time under warranty.

I had the same problem, after 2 years it was replaced under warranty. That problem was, because they were produced by Italian company and they were not good quality. Nissan bought too many of them from this manufacturer, which is why they still used them, but they also easily replaced them in case of a problem, what is not obvious with some other manufacturers, especially German ones😉
