did you ever get around to removing the resistors from the mirror housing? I tried your suggestion and it worked the first time, but now the resistors seem to be completely dead, and I'm going to have to replace them. if i find the replacement resistors from another mirror, will i be able to replace them without having to take out the entire mirror assembly?

It did work for me untill now. Did not have issues with it.

The passenger side of my 2012 just slightly moves in reverse. It's trying to tilt but barely moves. I wonder if this would fix it.

Put the vehicle in reverse and then adjust the mirrors with it on reverse. It should keep it on memory for next time if all is working correctly. If not, it may be the same thing

Yeah, the slow dying tilt when reversing. Possibly!
