The first time I watch the video, I didn't think much of it. Today, I decided to actually go through the process; this video is spot on. If you have heated/Auto Dim side mirrors, read the comment by "Just a Plane Volunteer". Basically, don't try to pry the mirror completely off like he does in the video; just pry it until is pops making sure to leave the wires connected. If you're looking for LEDs, try ebay.

Hsquared thanks I recently got a 2013 maxima, this video is helpful. The dealer wants $90 for each light plus $125 for each light which is $250 for installation crazy!

Great video! Not even the Maxima forums showed how to do this! A couple of things for readers who may find this video like I did: •I have a 2012 Maxima SV, for reference. •My signals HAD the retention screw. •Both the driver side and passenger side mirror signals were dead. Both had cracks in them behind the signal itself (couldn't see it until taking it apart) and got moisture in there which is likely what killed the LED's. •This video is spot-on for removing the mirror, mirror cover, and signal itself. EVERY 7th Gen Max owner on the planet should be giving a thumbs up and thanking this dude. CAUTION for those with the heated mirror/auto dim option!!!--> Your mirror will have WIRES attached to it! So you can follow the video as shown in the beginning for prying up the bottom corner of the mirror, but ONLY pop it off just enough to expose the wires. DO NOT forcefully pull it away from the mirror housing or you'll have a more expen$ive problem then! I lucked out and didn't wreck mine, but just a fair word of warning for those who have those mirror options. Finally, Googling for the provided NISSAN part numbers provided will only return back results for the Altimas. For whatever reason Nissan doesn't list the part as applicable to the Maxima's. If you go to a dealer or online, DO NOT put your vehicle info or VIN # in or else you might get a hassle. Just order 'em straight and go from there.

Almost 4 years later and this video is still helping. Have been wanting to get this done for awhile and refused to pay the dealership over $400. Ordered lights from Amazon for $45 and was done in under an hour. Did pop a couple of the clips on the passenger mirror but the main clips are holding it like a champ. Appreciate both of you guys!!

This is the video i was looking for, very specific to what needs to be done and in the right order.

The dealer wanted $800 to replace the entire assembly. The same dealer had the len for$103 another one 20 minutes away for $63. This video saved me $737. Mooch ass Grassy ass hermano.

Thanks for the vid . I just finished installing them on my car . I lucked out and bought the pair for 45 dollars from everyday auto parts via Wal-Mart.com . I own a 2012 Max but order the one that fits the Altima . It took me about 15 minutes to replace . Now my car is complete . Thanks again

Great video! My turn signal on my rearview mirrors went out and I spoke to my Nissan Service guy about it. I'm not paying $520 for new mirror housings and I have an SV Premium Max with power and autodim mirrors

Great video just did my 2012 SV today both sides was not working...thanks alot for taking the time to show how to do this it save me some money and time. My mirrors was tricky because they was heated so be careful of the wires other than that is was a piece of cake took about 10 min per side...thanks again

Derrick B yes but if you have heated mirrors then you have to be careful with wires if you need to pop off mirror and plate. Please remove outside cover first. Some don't have screw holding LED bar in. And no need to remove side mirror from car. This was an extra I had.

jcravatt1 once I removed the cover, I popped out the mirror to unscrew the LED LIGHT and it took 5 minutes

Antani Miles dont think so. Different wiring. But I did put turn signals on side mirrors for my 07 Max. But had to by aftermarket side mirrors and run wiring.

does anybody know if they make a sequential version of these turn signals?

i just bought a 2013 my mirrors have the auto tilt feature when in reverse is this the same process?

j heath yes same process. I suggest removing shell first to see if yours has retaining screw holding in LED bar

tengo un nissan maxima 2013 y no le prende el direccional del pasajero, es el mismo procedimiento??? y aparte si quisiera cambiarle a luces led seria solo comprarlas las puras luces o alguna resistencia tambien???

chocoso100 sí, el procedimiento es el mismo para cada lado. en cuanto al motor va a mover el espejo, no lo he reemplazado. el número de parte de la barra LED está en la descripción. No hay necesidad de resistencia ya que ya son LED.

jay jay yes this is the same part used on 7th Gen Maximas. That's why I titled 7th Gen Maximas. Which are from 2009-2014. This part was adopted from Altima to Maximas.

jay jay also take off shell cover before taking off mirror and mirror plate. Some years the LED bar isn't screwed in. That will save you time. If it is screwed in then you take off mirror and plate

Bonjaay Bolaji ordered from dealer. My friend is Service Manager and got them for me at his cost. But part numbers in description and you can look on eBay or Courtesyparts.com
