It was an old man driving a manual. Did you not notice the trap speeds? They're all UNDER 120MPH!!! Z06s, when driven right, usually trap between 127mph to 131mph.

First of all this race should have been over when you're sitting there each time with these cars the gtr had no chance.i have owned a vette and was there with another gtr and he was around 11 seconds all night perfect everything for drag racing. that car has a few mods!

On purpose, he was awd, if he nails the launch the vette doesn't stand a chance... sure the gtr has less power but it puts it down better. If chevy put awd on a vette it'd be unstoppable.

@@AllegedlyElPresidente. you really need to to learn and watch more about drag racing. Did you even watch the video? The vette never jumped the light, watch the tree and then watch the board at the end if the race. If he red lights his side will have a red light around the edge when he crosses. The vette was a good driver, the gtr probably a new guy learning to race a car he’s not capable of yet and just learning. And for a car that is twice as expensive, he should be a whole lot quicker. The gtr is a good car, but it’s way overpriced now as they think it’s an exotic. Any v8’s Camarillo, mustang or challenger with a power adder will be just as quick or quicker and whole lot cheaper in the end.

@@grindertacos I had one and less than $30,000 in the whole truck that ran 10.2’s in the quarter and that was back in 2006. Plenty of trucks now running 10’s all day long. Hell, I’ve seen f150 ecoboost trucks mid 11’s and that’s on gas and some with 5.0’s running high 10’s🤷‍♂️. It’s fun beating up on sports cars with 7,000 pound trucks

@@Brandondrumkc how did you come to that conclusion? The C7 Z06/Z07 has better braking and skid pad numbers than any GT-R. The only thing the GT-R does better is launch and it gets gapped after that. I've won every race against a GT-R in my C7 Z06. Hell I beat a GT-R 50-150 mph with the roof in my trunk 😂 Nurburgring: C7 Z06 MANUAL 7:13:90 Fastest time posted by a GT-R 7:19:1

@@djzulumask2138 I have a bunch of races on video that I could upload but not the GT-R one since it was a random group of 3 GT-Rs that pulled up to me on the highway haha! Didn't have the gopro charged. I can show you a screenshot of me telling my friends about the race months ago. If you want a different race of my z06, I can put one up. For a GT-R race specifically, I could ask someone in my local car scene. Problem is all their cars are heavily modified so it might be hard to find a stock GT-R. Plus we're entering winter and there's way less people that come out. Let me know lol Also if you just did a little research on your own, you'd see how roll races like the one I mentioned go between a stock C7 Z06 and a stock GT-R

Pretty easy to do when all you have to do is buy a new American Corvette break it down and turn it into your new greatest car with the Japanese have been doing for better than thirty years now pretty easy to do when all you have to do is buy an American Supercar drag it to Japan re-engineer it and call it a Nissan or a Toyota

This channel is just pure Clickbait. They constantly show videos of Corvettes at 5280 feet, at which they’re not gonna perform nearly as well as they would near sea level, against Turbocharged cars which do not take such a power hit at high altitude. It’s pure bullshit that they don’t even have the decency to explain this to people.

The c7 z06 vette is supercharged so it's not taking as much of a hit. Although the gtr being twin turbo does give it a bit of an advantage along with awd. Although as many others have mentioned it's likely not stock like that z06 appears to be. It's never really equal match ups. You always get people putting $150k+ cars against $75k+ cars acting like the more expensive car winning is some big deal... no what's a big deal is how close the cheaper car was to winning.
