    You drive the car all the time hence it's easy to learn how the car behaves. But the Nordschleife is not a track that is easy to learn. He would have done 100s of laps and probably watched even more videos. Racing is something that requires your head more than anything.A driver that knows the track will always be faster than a driver that knows the car. The driver who knows the track knows all the braking points, turning points and the fastest line wet and dry. F1 drivers spend hours learning the track before they will even do 1 lap !

    I didnt say otherwise. I said "and" his car. cause I don't care who the fuck you are. If you don't know your car it dont matter how well you know the track. You can crash that shit if you try and push your limits. If you know your car. Even if you push your limits you can regain control, because you know what your car is going to do and how to make it do what you want it to do. You don't know your car if it starts to slide and you try to correct like the car you know.... your gonna overcorrect or under correct. cars gonna end up in a slide one way or another. If you know your car. even when that shit is sliding you can just get it right back under control. Whne you really know your car you can push it to the point where it is about to slide, but it wont cause you know where its limits are at. Knowing the track is like 1 3rd of the battle knowing your car is the rest.

    I think if you disagree you either own 100s of cars and know how all cars handle, or you simply have never really pushed a car to its limits.

  • @balcer-euror7753

    @balcer-euror7753

    Kraklin Well. You must have no knowledge about motorsport and cars all together. First of all there is passive safety (body shell, roll cage, braces, struts etc) then active safety (brakes - most of all brakes, COG, weight distribution and at the end suspension) then... there is like 100 things that goes before suspension. Suspension alone wont give you good handling. Have you heard about tires? Yes. that is the only thing that is in contact with surface the car is driven on. Dont' you think tires are pretty important? And the wheels, their setup (camber, caster, toe etc), then aerodynamics and lots, and lots of other factors. Slipping the rears? Why not fronts? Under-steer, over-steer - doesn't matter. My knowledge of the subject is very limited and compare to some guys I know nothing... but you... just please, don't post that kind of stuff like you know something. And that "1/3 of the power"... where did you get it from?

  • @Kraklin

    @Kraklin

    9 жыл бұрын

    clearly u never raced, or even playd a decent sim, because you should know, that althouth tyres are super important, your suspencion settup makes the car from "nice handling" to "lotus level handling", you are rigth when you say that wheigth distribution is important along with the tyre compound, thikness of the tyre, and the profile (size of the rim, and tyre itself), but, what gives you confidence is for the most part a balenced suspencion. if your car wobbles like crazy from side to side, you wont dare to try a slide in it, or you'll risk rolling and end up with the roof on the road. all components in a car make it handle good or bad, even the place where the engine sits, BUT the suspention is by far the thing that most changes the attitude of the car itself in term of cornering. hope i made my point clear, and sry for the bad english

All that you have said is that, Hitler funded Ferdinand Porsche (in which he had no choice), Porsche went bankrupt (because Porsche SE spent money buying VW), engine is in the wrong place (and yet somehow 911's top Nordschleife track times as well as most other tracks), the Nissan in this video is faster than a GT3 (even though its clear that the 200SX is well tuned and the driver is clearly 10 times more skilled in maintaining racing line than the driver of the GT3, and the driver matters), the best selling car is a Jeep (what?), and that I'm a idiotic Nazi lover who can't differentiate marketing and engineering (WTF?). Nothing you've said has anything to do with the performance of a Porsche, and clearly displays that you have never driven one, and have no idea what you're talking about. And yet us Porsche people still welcome you, because we aren't secular idiots who think that we are above people who like other cars. Only idiots think that way.

    I think the Porsche driver was equally skilled and let him pass as he knew the Nissan driver wouldn't be able to truly overtake him, notice how fast he can get away in the straights. So he let him pass to challenge him to see how far he can pull away from the Porsche. The Nissan driver is more aggressive as soon as he passes the Porsche which means he's right on his tail and trying to pull away. That's what I would've done if I was the Porsche driver. No doubt the Nissan driver has some mad skills tho.

The Porsche driver did not have the skill (and confidence) to break later even with a superior machine. Well done, I enjoyed watching your lap. You say it's a stock engine, so that means 169PS (versus 475PS from that Porsche). Numbers taken from Wikipedia. It makes your driving (or should we say piloting) even more impressive.

    @@damianmoon Yes way, much much better. Assetto isn't even realistic. Feels like the car is on rails: You can take corners too fast at angles too sharp without losing grip and if you do lose grip you immediately lose all control of the car. Doesn't feel natural or realistic at all. I tested Assetto vs PC2 on this track specifically and PC2 is the clear winner in all regards.

    Tuning power you mean? Lol you can basically tune every car to be fast. You could tune a VW Golf GTI mark I and have it absolutely destroy a Nissan gtr for example. That car has plenty of mods by the looks of it, chassis and power increase being the most noticeable.
