Porsche 991.2 GT3RS & FAST BIKER on Nordschleife//.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Last lap of the day was the fastest at a 7:40" BTG with some traffic.
The whole day was pretty slow as there were so many accidents and yellow flags :s
The RS felt very good and I'm getting in the zone with it. What felt nice is how I can go full on the gas now at Ex-Mühle/Breitscheid and you feel the back hunkering down hard and pushing you up. This was way less with the GT4.
Also now I felt the aero of the car really working at some places. You can lean into it.
During this lap I run into a very fast and good driving biker. Before you post all the comments about how dangerous I drive behind him, my foot is stand-by on the brake and you know when you are driving behind a experience biker or not. Also nice that he let me pass at the right moment. We also gave a big thumbs up to each other for the fun lap.

    When you’re slightly faster than the person walking in front of you and you wanna overtake them but the speed difference isn’t significant enough and you’d have to walk unnecessarily fast to get past them

    I walk the speed that good for me - normally fast as i'm 188 and walk quickly anyway. If someone is slightly slower I don't feel the need to pass them since it's not an objective. Being intelligent in my case i'm thinking about where I am going and the group of people up ahead that the person in front has not noticed. Lets say a train station - everyone going different ways. So my course correction and less speed will see my distance widen between me and the person in front because shortly they will have to slow right down vs me continue though a less congested path. So to use that analogy speed is often the single minded approach of fools when it's simply one component of a more complex system. Driving is the same. Track driving is far easier in some ways in my opinion than on public roads but has challenges not seen on public roads as seen here. No problem to walk the same speed either, maybe match the step too :-)

    @Harry Bell Well, you just showed your ignorance. I bought the bike with .2 miles on it, from Big K Kawasaki in San Angelo, Texas. I broke it in exactly like you're supposed to. The Master mechanic's nickname was "Dingus". He rode it, at my request, and told me the 1015cc engine was the only engine he had ever worked on, that he didn't have to adjust anything on, at the 1000 mile maintenance. It was supposed to produce 92 hp, but we dyno'd it at 9800 rpms and she produced 102 hp. I bought the Dunlop racing tires for it. I never let anything go unchecked. It was a wonderful experience. I could stop at an intersection and not have to put my boots on the ground. Don't comment if you don't know what you're speaking of. By the way, between 1978 and 1994, I put 328,000 miles on 5 different bikes. So... stfu!

Top speed was around 130 MPH and 1/4 mile e.t. was more than 12 seconds. And the hqndling was universally agreed to be atrocious.

    It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people really are; Riding a bike a those speeds takes 10 times the skill than driving a car a that speed , no to mention that when u make a mistake in a bike it is also 10 times harder to correct. People don’t even know that 95 % of braking is done with the front brake therefore a lot harder to apply just the right amount Then again u can’t expect people to understand this if they have never ever ridden a bike a 190 mph

  • @Soknik01

    @Soknik01

    5 жыл бұрын

    Riding a bike at that speed takes a serious lack of brains. Any intelligent person is able to acknowledge that driving brings with it great risk because of the number of things that can, and often do, go wrong. Per mile traveled a motorcycle rider is 35 times more likely to have a fatal accident than someone driving a passenger car. Motorcycles are a blast but I don't know a single person who has both strong critical thinking skills and a desire to live who is able to delude themselves into believing that riding a motorcycle in the presence of cars and trucks is anything short of dumb as fuck. There just isn't any way around the truth. Reality should be taken into consideration and more often than not we see motorcyclists choose to wallow in their own grossly overinflated false sense of security. While I see it as tragic there is also a part of me that thinks that it's a good thing when fools are denied the chance to contribute to our species collective gene pool.
