@@a-superblender2742 yes and no. When you brake the car, you can turn the wheels into the corner and then hit the gas. Downshifting simply slows the car down, but if u are at the right rpm range, you can glide through the corner. If your revs are too low, then you will probably understeer.

At that point he had his foot off the throttle pedal and was just coasting through the corner. With left foot braking you can keep your right foot on the throttle pedal the entire time in between shifts and your left foot on the brake. So when you need a quick and short moment of braking you have your foot already in the position and can react almost instantaniously. This also gives you confidence , which could have helped in this situation, and as a bonus also faster laptimes.

Excelent driver, this is one of the most enjoyable Nurburgring onboards i've seen. Great shift work, clean, patient with the overtakes and fast as hell when the track clears. Its also great to see a CA18 S13 haul ass, those engines are underrated.

It depends on the race taking place... If it's a drag race, then there is no cornering. If it's a rally race, it heavily relies on suspension capabilities, so on so forth. There are more than one type of race my friend. Just because you don't participate in that kind of race doesn't mean it's non existent...
