Nishiki Market started in 1310 as a fish market in Kyoto, but has evolved into a shopping street with over 100 stores, and is now one of the best places to try Kyoto street food! Today, Nishiki Market is considered the “Kitchen of Kyoto” and offers a range of seafood, sweets, pickles, tea, and more.
Shizuka meets up with Kevin, a food tour guide in Kyoto, for an insightful stroll around Nishiki Market, tasting a variety of Kyoto street food and chatting about local specialties like tsukemono pickles and yuba (a type of “tofu skin”). Kevin talks about the history of Nishiki Market and even gives some tips about how to use yuba in home cooking.

Wow. Amazing to see Ed Sheeran make an appearance! Awesome stuff
Great Shizuka vlog as always !
Holy shit, I remember Kevin! First time to Japan and first time in Osaka many moons ago I went on a food tour he was doing. Had a blast and learned lots. Even stayed at his place. Man, this world is too damned small.
I did my own food tour here 2 years ago and still have fond memories of all the food I ate.
Can't wait to visit Japan, again and again and enjoy those great findings
Great video. Man I would love to be walking down the river side now and get some Udon Tempura after
We went here in 2019, I really enjoyed it at the Nishiki Market. We only had 2 days in Kyoto, but we have very fond memories of the market and the Fishimi Inari Shrine with all the torii gates. You video brings back fond memories, and we really hope to go back soon!
10:32 max would be proud

I was here march 2020 and apart from trying some of the lovely street food i was so delighted i was able to get really nice white tabi socks, not the patterned touristy ones!!ha ha!😀⛩🇯🇵
i love Shizuka 😍
Loved the video!!😆😆 I envy Kyoto so much, because my hometown Nara is known for "Nothing good to eat"!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 It was written by a famous Japanese essayist Naoya Shiga over 80years ago in one of his book. It says *"There is nothing good to eat in Nara"*😭😭 That is so sad! Please come to Nara and prove that is not true anymore😠

Japan is a safe and fun place. Lots of beautiful females.
Why is the go to "girls are needing to be learned"? @Shiizuka Anderson knows a lot about Japanese cuisine. Why is the show "teaching" the silly girl?
You know... Most presenters doesn't even suspect, but we plebs and most poor and unsecure guys dream of you. Just so you know. May be. It's enough if you girls ever notice this desperate comment. Aah...
