I've been watching KZread videos for the better part of 10 years now, with a lot of them being Nirvana guitar covers and I must say that yours is, without a doubt, the best one that I've ever seen on here. Now I know that it's not a particularly difficult song to play by any stretch of the imagination or anything, but it's the WAY you play it. You have the strumming pattern down and also, I'd say the other main thing that makes this cover great is your guitar/amp's tone and the way you recorded and mixed it. It really sounds good, as opposed to someone just sitting down and playing it in front of their digital camera or webcam and capturing the raw sound from their amplifier. It's almost like you have the same exact setup that Kurt used in the studio to record this song back in 1991.

+CoverSolutions You're welcome, man! You seriously nailed Kurt's 1991 studio guitar tone on this one. If I have one constructive criticism, I'd say that you should sort of "spank" those first 4 chords in the very beginning of the song. Strum them a bit harder.

Man these are excellent. I would have loved to watch this when I learned 18 years ago. These songs are taking me back in time to playing these and all the different gfs I had at the time. Years fly by and youth turns into aches and pain. The one thing that never left was my guitars haha. Beautiful women were too hard to please after 5 years marks, yet my ears and hands always come back to these tunes. Awesome setup, your tabs are the easiest I have ever seen to follow. Only person I’ve seen on KZread so far who not only played the solo on the correct position on the neck but played its with some heart.

Yeah sure it's not that hard of a guitar riff, but it's got some hard parts, I don't play guitar (I play bass) but I can see it. This guy's got so much talent with so many different instruments especially bass, keep up your hard work!

Abdullah Adel I've learned some of it and I've only been playing guitar for half a year but it seems like in-between medium and easy I just can't find good tutorials but I think I will use this one and don't worry about the difficulty of a song (unless it's like crazy hard with sweep picking or something) just choose a song you like that's what I've been doing :-D

I just started playing electric guitar literally two weeks ago and have already learned all of the chords to the song. The only thing I'm doing now is just practicing getting faster and my timing so I can play with the song and eventually replace the guitar parts in the music. So I I would say it's very beginner-friendly.

I've been playing everyday for about 4 months now, I would be very surprised if I couldn't play this. Edit: I was pretty crap back then lol. I play the bass now and I am pretty damn good for someone playing less than a year. And Yea I did master this song.

Can someone answer how he does the effect on the chorus? Is it a pedal? The only way I can make it sound sorta right is by increasing the volume on the guitar. 😭

Savanna Kungpao Chicken the DS2 is the same as the DS1 but it comes with a 'turbo distortion' knob. Kurt used his DS2 with the turbodistortion knob turned fully down so technically its the same as using a DS1

Savanna Kungpao Chicken Kurt used a boss ds-1 pedal in this song you can pick one up for like 40$ he also used the big muff on songs like lithium and used ds-2 turbo distortion on tour after in utero and on other songs like tarritoral pissings he used a RAT distortion
