not really that hard, any trained drummer can do it, the real probs go-to drummers who do it on hours-long gigs and somehow keep the same energy all the way through

Its really an evolution thing. Hundreds of thousands of years of chicks rearing a bunch of young has (by natural selection) favoured chicks that can multi-task.This vastly favors women as drummers. Dudes on the other hand are task-oriented (they get shit done). Dudes had to go out into the wild and bring home dinner - every day. This is well documented and indisputable.
