@@FightinCowboy I play strong off the road most traveled builds, and this build is great. I also use different elements tied to demon dance stances. I stance change flux during demon dance ki pulse once i have initial debuff applied. Awesome content vid m8!

Straight up been spear main since Nioh 1. Hardcore. Spear and spear. This build here is going to make me genuinely give another weapon a fair shake. Appreciate the min/max build views since I love testing damage results and flow. Other than thank you and this is dope. BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SO MANY SMACKS

This build can function with tonfa gun, if you pause slightly after a demon dance you can do a regular quick attack into devastation before you lose the cumulative buff. It's a little tight. Best time for this is right after you get confusion off.

I followed this build as closely as I could, though I was never able to get the dual swords that match. So I went with all pieces of the One-Eyed Dragon set and went between a corruption and purity tonfa set (mostly the former but used the latter on the final boss). This let me break into DotWise for the first time (failed with fists and splitstaff). Great build!

have you tried this build with the new tonfa set from the DLC? would it be worth upgrading you think?

hey can u explain how demon dance does damage? I thought it is just a ki pulse repositioning thing. Why would we add damage boost to that?

Farming soul cores and doing resting rites is the best way.

What with all the saturated accumulation and water damage ? Is he using water element though? I am confused

I ended up managing to Smith my own martial artists tonfa with purity. I'll drop it on my revenant (plus the other gear) when I get home from work (4:30pm London time, approx 11:30 USA time). Will be dropping it at the river in "mysterious one night castle" None of it is min/maxed yet though.

so does the build menu save the stat points for each build you make or you got to keep eatting books everytime you want to switch?

How do i get Pulverice Heaven and Reduce Elemtal Damage on the Gear.

Thanks for the build. While I am in my first playthrough, the philosophy behind the build is key and can be used from start of the game. It really made things very very easy for me. The only frustrating opponent I faced in the first playthrough was Shibata Katsuie when at equal level to him. Almost made me quit since everything else literally melted in front of tonfa tank and I got a challenge first time. Shibata had just too much health. But with farming to 1 or 2 levels above him, could defeat him for good. Rest of the bosses literally melted. Like all of them. I wonder though if this build is broken because we seem not to have to try and dodge and play strategically. So I wonder if this was intended or left as a cheesy build to enjoy with by the devs.

How can i remove Set Bonuse from Armor which i craft. Since im on the third difficulty i cant get armor without this bonuse.

isnt purity mostly damage toward yoki like corruption is to human? so though its applied easily its really no great for a lot of enemies.

Do u still have tonfas to drop ive crafted like 50 of the cant get to drop

It's a split requirement, you don't need skill if you reach the cap with the other stat

My armor requires 18 strength but yours is 9 how do i get that? Sorry if i missed it in the video

Pulverize is better than wild lions or its just a preference?

I was trying to do this almost exact build on my new game+ run once I saw One Eyed Dragon Armor was in the game. Just no luck getting the purity element on my Tonfas, so I settled for stacking damage to poisoned enemies instead.

I didmt realize purity tonfa were so rare. I've sold/offered so many.

Been using a lifesteal, Tonfa Gun devastation build similar to your fiery build. (Cept I use +20% dmg to demon dance as the Amrita absorb keeps me healed) Trying this out now and the combos are different so the question. Previously opening with Tonfa gun combo then strong attack, quick, ki pulse into demon dance. Here, it seems you are doing just doing quick attack, straight into ki pulse demon dance. Is that accurate?

You can run with whatever combo you want, but the high stance demon dance is where you damage will ramp up.

FightinCowboy thank you sir. I switched demon from the 20% to courage dmg. With East/Imok mix i had 365 toughness, with one eyed it’s down to 265. (Still had B agility) Dmg output this way seems higher so far, just a “tad” bit squishier.

Can't you farm Oni-Bis at the Abduction mission in the beginning to the left of the Yasakani farm spot? I got a lot of them, just don't kill the lantern, they keep spawning

Yes this is correct i have each element core at 160/9 didn't take that long with the one soul core increase Core and appropriate cores to increase soul core drop rate and of course kodama blessing/kodama bowl.

can you get an attack bonus as an inheritable?

a tip there's an item that can put a yokai realm on the ground use before you enter to a human boss since they don't have yokai relam

I have a purity Tonfa build like last cowboy video” Benzaiten Build”, and trust me purity Tonfa decimated them

Saw a tonfa gun/Raging Strike confusion build for Tonfa's and it was STUPID. Boss just died instantly from spaming R2 move imbued with fire into demon dance heaven (Raging Strike) in high stance, pretty hilarious to watch the HP bar too.

I can’t figure out how you can get 5 barriers and 2 protection with only 9 points in magic. It only lets me have 2 barriers.

Can anyone confirm who drops the smithing text for the candlestick dual sword? Trying to finish up putting this together and that’s the final piece of my puzzle.

Same here. People say they farmed it from a corpse on the abduction mission... i did that for hours and didnt get 1

First off amazing video as always but if you or anyone could answer this question. Recently when i start a mission be it multiplayer or single it nerfs my damage,health and defense. I looked through the patch notes and it said nothing about it I don't have level sync on or anything. What would cause that? Very annoying

Ming Song Ho he gets it from the the soul core maelstrom oni-bi which he doesn’t really use in the vid, also from his guardian spirit special ability. Also not used in vid but he has those options if needed

I wasnt enjoying nioh 2 until i picked up the tonfa, i guess it suited my play style. It was the only weapon in early game that im able to break Ki for almost all opponents. Currently paired it with an axe/hammer and im just having fun in my first playthrough

I just got my Magatama nd I want to try this build... but finding a Holy Tonfa is much harder to find!!!

How did you get extra stats in the your gear?

This is pretty good, im using the identical build with everything slighting higher in terms of + on items and I'm closer to 300, but i don't seem to be putting out the numbers in the video. Not sure what's different other than everything i have is a higher level... First 2 times I fought Ryomen, i beat him in 20 seconds. Like the part where you said "that's just the opening combo, we did all that damage" I hit him just as much and dont do anywhere near that damage...Just about every other time I fought him it takes 10x longer than that even though i changed NOTHING. No clue why it is inconsistent. Anyone have insight into this??

@@FightinCowboy nah you're right, it's leveled higher... I think what's different is i'm executing sloppy or something. I don't think i'm getting as many consecutive hits without taking damage. I need to really watch exactly how you're beginning your attacks and when you dodge stuff. Also are you on level synch? And what clan are you part of? All these factors could be what's different while the gear is still identical!

Can you make a fire based odachi build? I'm trying to build one but not really to comfortable with the outcome

The two fire sets are light and medium weight which aren't very Odachi friendly

@@FightinCowboy exactly. I tried running it with odachi and I almost died a bunch of times. Usually run tatenashi set with odachi which works really well. My character barely dies. Very tanky. After switching to imakami set(the fire set). My character gets destroyed by goddamn gakis. So I was confused at what exactly am I doing wrong. Also the damage output isn't that great. Will probably switch to another element

I didn't think I'd like tonfa because I refused to use em in nioh 1 and 2 up till this year. I'll tell you now, I never thought I'd love using them this much. I love enemies not having any ki ever. But it does kinda suck fighting some bosses starting off.

Sorry im never play nioh 1 so im Abit confused (no pun intended) how confusion work ? How do you inflict it ? How do you know you inflicted it ? Is that the reason he using a purity weapon and also some water damage stuff ?

Confusion is from applying two elements (fire, water, lightning, purity or corruption). It doesn't last long but is a big damage boost. Nothing resists purity so it's an easy choice, after that we use water fire or lightning depending on what something is weak to.

Problem with the Kusarigama and Switchglaive is that any setup using them outside of Dexterity or Magic, as in using their alternative stats, would always be outclassed by that weapons intended stat. A Constitution Switchglaive build will always do less damage than a Constitution spear build for example. So while it's possible to make builds around the weapons, you're purposefully gimping yourself.

Dude, I think I found a glitch I've not seen anywhere. I level synced a stage from Dream and when I finished it my futsunomitama sword became 170 from 160. Tried again on a different level and it happened again on my armour but after that I have not been able to make it happen again. Not sure if there is an exploit there.

Funny thing is i grinded got my stats up to about 305 to start this build. Only thing that took me forever to get was that one eyed dragon smithing text. I had to fight william about 15 times to get it. But finally im gonna make this build
