Fanastic Video. Captured my own trip there perfectly. I went Oct 2018 and only opened that gold Nes Famicon Mini 2note, it was sealed for a tear, tiny controllers are so cool. GO YO KAWASAKI KOWLOON ARCADE, best thing in tokyo and its closing down in November 😪

When in Japan, you need to be able to fight the impulse to buy everything if you are into that culture. I would easily go broke if I went which is why I haven't visited yet. And now with everything the way it is, it will be a bit before I will be able to.

I have watched a tonne of Japan “gamer” vlogs and none have made me want to visit as much as this did. It was also great seeing another side of you, you seem way more chilled out and zen in this video. That’s not to say I don’t love true energy you usually bring to the table in your videos though. Thanks for all the great content you create.

Be sure to hit up the “book off” and “hard off” stores (yes that’s their real store names) for more competitive prices on the slightly rare second hand stuff, especially late model switch items. Akihabara is notoriously higher in price since it’s a tourist area, so I’d also recommend Surugaya in Shinjuku for really great finds and slightly lower prices. You’ll think you’re going into a regular department store, but you’ll pop out of the escalator into a really great retro shop. There’s modern stuff as well. Don’t forget a lot of places are tax free with your passport.

Has anyone noticed Woods content has really been professional since he got an editor. But I still miss his old self made videos when his house was flooding (not funny for him of course). Stumbled upon this video randomly; thanks for sharing your experience, glad that you enjoyed it. Just wanted to add, if you're making a trip all the way to Japan and you're a gaming channel, you gotta make a plan and hit up more locations for Hard-Offs, Book-offs, Mandarake, Surugaya, etc. You have to go to Osaka or much deeper in the south for the sweet deals, a third of the cost. Its very easy for a tourist to get caught up in the moment and drop $ on games that are marked up 20% more than ebay prices.

I just came back from Japan and got some great deals. Especially from the Book Off stores. Almost half the price from regular stores. Prices are hit and miss on some things. Overall I had a good time. Love the video.

I was in Tokyo back in January and I miss it so much. I didn’t realise how much there would be to buy, hopefully I’ll go back soon for a full shopping trip.

I absolutely loved Japan when I was there visiting. I'm so glad you two had so much fun. It's definitely a country you need to visit multiple times. I went for 2 weeks and I barely scratched the surface.

always love to see a good vlog and just found out about your channel a month ago and always go back to your channel for quality and positive vibes.

Google Translate is amazing for its image recognition feature and translating some words. If you're on holiday in Japan it's a must-have. It's a totally different story for when you're learning Japanese, like I am. I use Google Translate's image recognition to change kanji to text, and then I copy the kanji to a dictionary app so that I can get a better grasp of what it means with example sentences and the like. Google Translate also often gives the wrong translation since words can often be used in different ways. (This also happens in English though)
