Nina Aouilk : '' Surviving Honour Killing , Physical Abuse & Forced Marriage '' | PODGHOST | EP.32
Ойын-сауық
#ninaaouilk #abuse #honourkilling
We are delighted to bring on Nina Aouilk, a fascinating guest on the 32nd episode of the Podghost podcast. Nina has survived both physical abuse from her own father and an attempted honour killing. She comes here to talk about her experience and to spread awareness of the growing number of abuse incidents. I would like to greet Nina Aouilk, ladies and gentlemen.
This now-successful motivational speaker’s childhood was horrific, as she was abused not only physically but also mentally and sexually. Her father was jailed in 2015 for the abduction of his daughter, who was later taken to India an placed in an academic institution.
Moreover, Nina has been spreading awareness about honour killing and all the abuses so that the young generation should not face what she faced earlier
Nina is now proudly the co-founder of the nonprofit organization End Honour Killings Org, which serves as a point of contact for victims and survivors of gender-based abuse and forced arranged marriages.

I worked in the domestic violence field for over 20 years and I’ve never heard such a horrendous story. She is an inspiration. Much love to Nina and her children.
As a mother I simply cannot imagine how someone could do this to their child. Makes me sick to my stomach! Such a brave women ❤
Remarkable woman with so much courage and determination!! I am grateful that I had the opportunity to interview Nina on my Podcast last year!! She is doing amazing things for Domestic Violence Survivors! Very deep and emotional interview!
Resilience is a small word to describe this woman !
I just want to give her a big hug 🥹❤️ such a courageous woman!
what an incredible woman. i just feel broken listening to this, how can someone do this to their own daughter!? the people who abused her and were complict deserve LIFE in jail.
I m Punjabi and I have 2 daughters, me and husband both are so happy and feel blessed 🙏🥲 I have watched this lady podcast on other channel and It was painful tearful 😢
How many times does it takes to recount something so vile and horrendous, before you feel just a bit better, I wonder... I am in awe witnessing your graceful and unspeakable brave recollection, Nina. You are ten thousand time stronger than all your abusers put together and it shows. You can speak up and be proud of what you achieved, your abusers have to take the cover of darkness and secrecy, because deep inside they know it is wrong what they did to you... Thank you for sharing your story, Nina❤
Thank you so much guys for having Nina on (Tina - Sydney Australia) xx
I pray for your healing dear child. I pray for justice too. You've suffered and survived so much dear god.

Thank you, I’m still fighting for Justice but the laws in the UK do not protect victims and survivors as they should. I am working to change that.

Well done to these two Punjabi guys giving this woman a voice. Very honourable decision by them.
Absolutely hard to hear hardest podcast. No one should have to go through this disgusting vile abuse these men/ families need to be punished and made example of. I can’t believe what this lady had to go through all her childhood no child should have to go through this. I am so proud of this lady how she has come out the other end and how strong she is. So well spoken and every word of hers touches deep. May she continue doing the fantastic work she is doing and stays strong and continues voicing for many vulnerable people. ❤❤❤
I watched Nina’s video on Snapchat, which took me to Nina’s instagram and then I found this video. I had nothing but tears the entire time. Nina you are an inspiration for so many and the work that you are doing is invaluable. Your story will help so many people who need that one sign, that one kind word. I pray you continue to turn your trauma into triumph and wish you nothing but healing. I pray Allah swt showers you with His peace, love and comfort. From one Asian sister to another❤️
Remarkable women! In sha allah everyone in her position gets to witness light at the end ❤

That even in hard times change and new beginnings are possible ❤thank you for your braveness and love. God bless you. Take really good care ❤❤️
It is unfortunate that we can't have a sit-down conversation with her parents and ask them why they think the way they treated their daughter was ok. We would never be able to have a frank and honest conversation with them at all.

They would only come up with excuses why it is OK to treat people inhumane but want their ass by others to be treated good. Doesn't matter what religion, culture and country we come from, narcissistic people, evil people, misogynistic and paedophile live there. Watch KZread block my comment.
This was really deep and emotional!

One strong, brave woman beautiful woman. Know you are doing work to save overs. It amazes me that people do evil things then when they get caught blame it on their difficult childhood- you do the opposite.
I'm touched. and deeply, for your strengths.
So sad the people need to be bought to justice.
😢 HUG'S i understand fam members sometimes r the worst 😢 IN MY PRAYERS NINA
Well done yazz handled it so well
Thats crazy!!!! How can people be so cruel
Absolutely amazing woman
Great podcast
It’s so disgusting that our Asian cultures are like this! Nina is right though, not much has changed. Even now similar things are still happening and it’s so much of a taboo that it should all be just brushed under the carpet. 😢
Love this story

@@londonslifecoachyou are a brave beautiful kind hearted woman, you’re also an empath that’s why you felt the wrong energy in that room, us empaths need to make our energetic aura stronger to repel these evil narcissists. sometimes our eternal reward comes after this temporary life for what we endure and the guilty will also get what they deserve in the eternal world remember the thing that is of value is the soul that is why the body deteriorated god looks at the soul so they took nothing from you we say in Islam that the best people have trials in this world look at the innocent people in Gaza, because God wants his precious ones close to him in the next world. Asian Culture is so evil and never follows what faith teaches you have such a lovely energy it makes me want to be your friend x

I think Nina,s brothers and parents are live need to ask questions about this.
how did they get to the conclusion that she was a "witch" as a young girl?
Take love

❤❤i wish we had more laws, enforced for honour victims culture gone wrong, this is UK, its like our country has been used for cover-ups, perpetrator's hiding behind the culture, religion we need more law's, advocacy's
Ppl use religion to to be evil 😤 Nina is beautiful from the inside out! I can’t even fathom how she survived this monstrous situation.

How are her children doing?
What kind of monsters do this to their kid?
Has there been justice? Any or these people arrested?
if shes getting death threats just for telling her story - what abt her family im sure they are getting a lot more hate and threats. her parents must be quite old now not sure how they are feeling watching this. they should reach out to her and apologize before they pass away. in our culture they treat daughter in law badly not so much daughters weird this family treated their dil better than their own daughter.
Were these perpetrators brought to justice?
This is why I’m scared to marry 😢
Did she ever saw her parents again? Did they ever try to askfor forgivness?
The parents weren’t punished???
Hey Nina,i am so sorry for what happened to tou and your children,i really don't have words that i can say to make your pain suffering to go away but i think you need to really truly invite Jesus Christ in your heart as your Lord and Savior,He is the only o ne you can give you unconditional love and peace of mind and heart that passes all understanding and also to break all the chains of rejection for your daughter and your boys too,be blessed sister with much love of Christ. You are such a strong ,beautiful and inspiring women❤❤
Gosh.....very annoying when these guys constantly repeat "of course" for no reason

give them some grace. what she has endured is very hard to wrap your head around
It is an awful story no doubt honour killing, abuse exist. I don't think everything in this story is true. A lot of things just don't make any sense
To be honest, I find many flaws in her story. Although I feel sorry for her what happened to her. She has forgiven the culprits, but now going on and on about honour killing. This is not a case of honour killing. Honour killing is where people kill to protect their honour. Her parents tried to kill her to hide their crime. It is a case of child abuse by her own parents. People who worry about honour do not abuse children. Honour killing and child abuse are two different concepts. I think this woman has milked her abuse storey as much as she could but she is doing injustice to victims of honour killing.
The police should be arresting of them right now
What an amazing women reminded me off my domestic abuse 🥲💔
