Wow, its great to see someone review and use one of these Non Nikon lenses. I am not a videogarpher (yet) but some of the close up videos were great - the glass bottle.

You could always use this lens on a Z6/7/9 in DX mode and have IS as well. Like the ultra wide angle effect. I have TTArtisan's Z mount 11mm f/2.8 fisheye for FF and I was suprised that such an inexpensive lens was so well built. Wide angle is fun to use. I hope that cigarette was only a prop, not in your mouth, lol!

Thanks great. Its good to have those hobbies on the side. A hobby away from the hobby. Sometimes I need to shut off my photo world and enter the music world just to relax. Fishing would be something I would love to get into someday. btw those kids are awesome.

Every time I think about dipping into the APSC Z's I have to remind myself about the lack of stabilization.. I don't do much video (yet) so for my photos I love and NEED that handheld stabilizing. Great video tho, lens looks quality and the video nice!

Thank you for this review. I like this lens. My only issue is that I do not seem to see any focus point in my EVF or LCD. That makes it hard to focus on individual objects (like the shot of your burning cigarette).

Vahan, I’m wondering whether to move on to the cine lenses. Have my eyes on the IRIX set. Just waiting on whether to get the Nikon or Sony set. I am thinking of getting the Sony ones, just because I can adapt them with the megadap etz21. They are all manual lenses after all. Really hoping Nikon releases a cine camera.

I’ve been debating if i should get this lens or not. Don’t shoot much video but having a cine lens at affordable price is great.

Its a cool lens. for those close up shots, its nice. It has its cool sharpness to them. Hard to explain.

@@Vahagraphy I probably will end up getting it but will have to slow down on adding new lenses this year. Went crazy with 3 new camera platforms and lenses. :)

V I don't shoot video but the stills on it were Impressive! 12mm gives a great view and at that price, I could see making that jump. Do you think the new Nikon aps will have ibis? One would think it's a no brainer.

24-70.. thats about it for now. I had the 24 G which I sold.

Hi Vahagn! Enjoy watching your videos and see all the hard work you put in to your channel. Great job! One comment is, and this is a good video to illustrate it… when I watch it on my iPhone 10 via the phones speakers ( no headphones ), your music beds whilst you are narrating are just too loud. The balance between the two needs to be fine tuned. Why? Because I really am trying to hear what you say… but the music is distracting because it is too loud. Net effect is it is frustrating and I will just stop watching. But I still give you a thumbs up because I do appreciate your efforts. Not sure if you use Resolve… but try looking into audio ducking. Then again… there is a huge population who love loud music beds. I might be the only one who doesn’t. Anywhichway… one quality data point for you 😊

i love the Z9 but do not when taking video you can not use ? read what each autofocus mode does. when i get down looking at photo and video will give better remark, i used local Renaissance Fair to test out camera and video on it.
