hey, does all boxes come with the filter and hood?

From your sample shots, you probably using your Nikon D3300 on either auto mode or plain F22 on your aperture, since most of them are a little bit soft especially on you zoomed-shots. This lens is way lot sharper at around F8 or F11 at any given zoom ranges, that's where everything in the scene are sharper, a lot sharper actually than the full F22 or even F16 aperture. I'm a Nikon guy as well and got a DX DsLR too just like yours, but I'm into Landscapes.

I have a Nikon D5200, with the stock 18-55mm lens of which i bought a few months ago. However now i have around £150 on which i am buying a tripod and a lens. Would you recommend this Nikon 55-200 vr ii lens over a Tamron 70-300mm lens? There both the same price but not sure which to buy. Great video by the way! thanks.

the main purpose of this lens is to be as much travel friendly as possible, it's light and compact and perfect for that purpose. I'm using mine as my *only* lens when I go camping (believe it or not!)

Pretty much all modern nikon dslrs use the nikon 'F' mount. Same with Modern Nikkor lenses. So yes, it will fit your camera

Sharique Moiz try to use a tripod as well, it helps when shooting at 200mm especially since you are a beginner and vr is not going to help you much with the vibration
