Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR Lens Review | Cameras Direct Australia
One of two versions of Nikons 18-300mm, Tom takes you thru the lenses features. This 3.5-6.3 is lighter and a little cheaper than the 18-300mm 3.5-5.6 version making it more likely to be on the buy list of travel photographers. Buy @ www.camerasdirect.com.au/niko...

Glad someone compared this newer lens to the older one. Thanks!
Awesome lens had it for a couple years now got it with nikon D7000 camera. Also great camera will need to update soon. Excellent video. Thanks
thanks for telling me the difference between the two of lenes.
Very nicely explained.
I found this this to be a very good lens for general travel use , sure its not the sharpest , but its not for selling photos its for personal use , great bit of kit
Will autofocus work in Nikon d5600
Is it gonna fit in Nikon D500

D500 = Cropped. DX=Cropped. So yes.
would this suit a D750? if not what the best alternative?

Nope. This is a DX lens, for a cropped sensor. The D750 is a full frame camera. A comparable focal length at the wide angle is Nikon's 24-120mm f4. www.camerasdirect.com.au/nikon-af-s-24-120mm-f-4g-ed-vr-lens-kit
Cool. You convinced me to buy it.

@@crxracer805 Why?.......I don't own it but reviews tell it' a decent lens. Of course, IQ can't be as a prime lens (it' obvious).

@@josephrossi4062 I've had the less, though it had a long range, it was shitty quality. Better to stick with something like 17-50mm or 24-70.

@@josephrossi4062 Image quality compared to all the other lenses I've had, probably one of the worst on the 18-300

very good...
why it is cheaper than 18-300mm 3.5-5.6 version?

* Jamil * Because it's not good in low light at 300mm you're looking at a f6.3 aperture.

Lower aperture range means it will be smaller in size hence the price difference.

Very convenient, but does not perform well at low light, and produces vignetting.
