i also just switched to this from the ultra pro 16x19. i have mine pretty closely matched with my ultra pro and the plushness and the power are definitely some of the best traits with the stick. final weight is around 338g strung with what feels like 7-8 PTs headlight. The frame shines with the added weight as it's already pretty solid in stock form but with that little bit extra it's just becomes even better.

one option if you like more head heavy option is this radical mp use tk307 grommet that all the previous graphene era radical mp and pro uses (except for the xt mpa which uses tk307c) so you can purchase the heavier pro player grommet made for earlier graphene versions if you want to add more weight around the hoop

Unstrung customs was the company that blacked out my steam 100’s. They do very good work at reasonable price. It only took about a month for him to do three racquets. Definitely would recommend this service.

This new rad mp is SO good, I sold my prostaff v13 right away when I tested it. I playtested a bunch of racquets from pro stocks ( raonic pro stock ), the new blades, but none came close to this rad for me. Yes I leaded it up a bit but you can see the racquet is very solid, no vibrations even without dampener. Good power control and feel, does everything right with the proper string for your game. Love it

The Gravity pro, Prestige pro 2021 and Speed mp are flagship racquets for Head in terms of performance and feel without major modifications. The Extreme mp is 4th, but clowning yellow paint job cuts popularity way down. Wake up Head. Maybe black with tasteful yellow accent highlights?

The Radical MP is under-rated, both this version and the 360 before it. I added 5 grams each tip & tail, and its167 recoil became an ideal 174. At 338 swingweight, it now swings lighter (to me) than the Pure Strike at 325. All to say, I think its the RMP's high polarization and light weight that makes it such a great platform for customization.

I am big follower, watch all your videos. About grip shapes: i noticed that there is very little content on the internet about this topic,, especially whether one can change grip shapes across brands. My concrete question: can i put a wilson pro staff grip shape on a head prestige pro 360+ (2019, the red one)? I dont know whether the beam shape on whoch you put the pallet is the same. Thank you.

  • @temafomenko

Yep. You can literally print any kind of grip shape and install onto the Head racquet. I believe (not sure tho), unstrung customs sell Wilson shaped pallets for Head racquets. If you are not in the area of where the guys can ship it, the TW guys measured the profiles of grip shapes from most racquet brands. You can 3D print it locally and install it on your Prestige. All you need is a guy who will 3D model it for you. Great racket btw, also own and enjoy one!

If there's not a racquet that doesn't accommodate any player within the Head line up, that's a laugh. But they killed this racquet with the obnoxious colour scheme. 😂 I play with 3 Gravity Tours (grip 4), all matched and relatively close to proclaimed spec. Very satisfied, after trying an abundance of racquets. Quality control was acceptable.

Funny timing. Just wrapped up customizing my new ezone 98 after many months of experimenting with different sticks and setups. Got curious what other options (on paper) looked like candidate as competitors. Landed at the new radical MP has a good chance of being a really good canvas for a modern players stick.

Power pads are the small leather pieces between the main string and the outer plastic part of the grommet in the throat. They dampen the strings a bit like a dampener but a dampener is more effective and easier to remove.

The other comments answer it, but I'd like to add something that applies more generally. Yes, so some sticks are the actual same racket but at different weights, different balance, different swing weight, sure. And I can see why you'd think if a player customises a light one they may as well just use the heavier one rather than messing about. But it's not that simple. Those are set specs (well, quality control is not so set). What happens say if you want an ezone 98 at 305g but with a 33cm balance and a 330 something swing weight? Basically something you can't achieve without stating at a lower weight. So, you get the 285g version instead and weight up. This is also a more effective way of getting matched rackets and to your spec. You can also have control over hitting weight at different points on stringbed. So if you go to tennis warehouse university you can find data on hitting weight at different points of a rackets stringbed, and some rackets perform better in upper hoop etc or maybe it's more of a case of getting a higher hitting weight where you specifically make contact. That's where you want your stability and power. By customising you can control that a little. You've also just got general weight distribution and preferences there. Like ezones that I've tested have a little too much going on in throat for me. If I start at a lower weight I can bypass that and get weight distribution more to my liking while retaining a fast and whippy modern spec.

@@allchannel1841 Maybe try it for yourself? But in the picture you don't see any lead, so the weight is most likely in the handle or under the bumper at 12 o clock.. ;) But my guess is handle due to his OHB, makes it more head light for more acceleration.. ;)
