    I just switched from the Boom Pro to the Gravity Pro. Reason being it is the cleanest most sublime feel I have ever felt from a tennis raquet. It does not feel like a 330 sw and moves through the air with ease. Great pop to boot. I’m in love.

    I recently switched to the Rad MP. Played with a Gravity MP last year. I like the smaller head size. Better accuracy on my one-handed backhand and serve, and a bit more direct power overall. It is a bit less forgiving and slightly more harsh though. Use a hybrid setup to minimize that. Rad MP string pattern is actually very dense for a 16x19. Have to work a bit more to get spin, but a dream on slices.

    which is why it is ridiculous they call the radical mp the peoples racquet when it is the gravity mp that are the easier more forgiving racquet.

    thats a shame they made the radical stiff and 16x19, a plush radical mp with a 18x20 would be alot better, and a great contender for the blade !

    Hi Jonas! Great video, as always! Congrats! I've recently changed from a yonex ezone 100 (2019) to a Vcore 100 2023 due to a forearm / wrist tendan lesion (it's softer and not to much weaker) and your reviews helped me a lot! Now, I'm willing to try some new strings (with a good balance between confort, spin and durability with good budget), but can't decide among so many options. Could you make a series of video like the best strings within each price range: 0- 5, 5 - 10, etc?! I think it would help a lot of players! 2 strings that I think I'll try are: msv focus hex, mayami tour hex and isospeed baseline control.

    I have the auxetic version of radical mp and gravity mp as well as the 360+ of the gravity pro. And I've had the gravity mp 360+ which i sold because the string bed was very erratic. I also tried radicals before yup until the 360, but they were always too boardy and uncomfortable. The auxetic one feels much better, but still feels like the 65 ra that it is. I personally prefer ra 59 to 63 for the longer dwell time and feel. The radical auxetic mp feels very good, just stiffer, not boardy anymore. The rad8cal has denser more controlled string bed with a more point and shoot beam and feel. The gravity mp more touch dwell time with a more spin and bigger sweet spot. They reach the same control level for me, but they reach that control in different ways which is fantastic and gives people choices. My favorite of all is still the gravity pro. Haven't gotten or tried the auxetic version of that one yet. But the 360+ gravity pro feels and is still better in my opinion than the mp auxetic versie that i have of the radical and gravity. And that's at matched specs btw, i beefed up the mp's to the same spec as my customized gravity pro

    Re- Radical not having 18x20 option: I literally was having a good discussion with another KZreadr a short while ago about why Head does not offer this and the only conclusion is that Head only cares about the 'mass market'(which they have partially moulded) and doesn't have making solid pro level racquets to the retail public as their interest. An 18x20 Gravity or Radical would be the way to go and if Head just focused on a few solid lines instead of their insane jungle of racquets(who even uses Instincts?) then they would be far above nearly all the other firms

  • @neertw
    @neertw Жыл бұрын

    I think the Radical has lost its identity. Its not what it was when it was 18x20 and soft. That Rad was excellent. All it needed was an option of a 16x19 pattern and to be a true 98. This imagined frame would now be what the Blade is. I think Head missed a trick there.

    I said this just the other day to my pro shop owner. “Who is the racquet even for?” I get its in the middle of everything. Strings aren’t 16x16 or 18x20. Not a small or big head etc. Just seems like it does nothing great in any category. And if that is its strength then it still gets trumped by the ezone imo.

    just got myself a gravity MP lite, prices are very low actually since the new is coming soon. Must say that I love it (at least it felt great for my intermediate/casual level). I used many different frames from babolat but those were just way too powerful, they do good products but it feels like babolat misses a true control frame in their range of products (maybe the pure strike VS but it's way too heavy for me). even with the Strike 18/20 I have too much power to hit flat.

    They should make the radical MP in a 16x20 pattern. The Racquet is begging that design. The 16x19 is still a little wild. They also need to lower the RA a couple of points to about 63. Then, with a 52/53 lb bed, it will make a killer combo, especially for one handed backhands and a flat game.

    Head Marketing Team - if you are listening. Please consider reducing the unstrung weight of the gravity pro to 310 g yet keep the same thinner beam. Perhaps by lowering head size to 98 or 99 sq in. Doing this may result in the greatest tennis racket ever created. Also - go to an all black matte color with silver or red accents on the Head text. She would be beautiful.

    For the gravity mp(or really any racket), would it screw up the balance if I added a leather grip without adding any weight to the hoop? That’s something that’s always confused me, surely the manufacturers are choosing the head balance for a reason, should I always try to adjust my weight to keep that balance the same?

  • @Tennis214

    @Tennis214

    Жыл бұрын

    It would change the balance but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s totally personal preference. It would only become a problem if the racket then feels too heavy or the leather grip feels harsh when you play. Head probably just chose this balance to keep the static weight of the racket down so it’s accessible to more players, while also giving room for people to add weight to the handle if they prefer.

I totally understand and have nothing against promotions, earning money, building up contacts, but then it’s an obvious choice. It's just a matter of reputation, but anyways good to know.

    @@Tennisnerd Now you are telling me to shut up because you didn’t like my opinion :) I don’t tell you what way you should follow, Im just telling my opinion and supporting it with reasonable augmentation, quite rare on the net, ha? :) Im not blaming you, not insulting, I even write I understand the point. I believe that differences of opinion and feedback are nice things to have and should not hurt. But maybe it’s only me. Im sorry that my words hurt you, I didn’t mean it. I respect you, the work you’ve done and I enjoyed many of your videos. I defined believe that you truly think that you’re honest in your reviews and I don’t think you lie in your videos. But you also need to understand my point, that you don’t have to be dishonest or review ALL the Head rackets favorably to be biased. When Head markets their rackets they don’t lie too (I hope). You have to admit that the Tw video is misleading. It’s not a play-testers review, it’s a commercial that is delivered in the form of a review. And this is not good. You took part in the promo event, which is paid by the interested parties in their favor and have obvious benefits from them. Whether you like it or not, it is impossible to deny those facts. It’s not how an independent/honest review is done. Any person who counts on participating in such an event paid by the interested parties and who benefit from this event, enters into a conflict of interest, as this person naturally tends to be less critical and more careful when it comes to speaking about anything related to those parties. And you don’t have to lie to be in this situation. This is self-censorship, a direct consequence of a conflict of interest. We all know how brands are sensitive and you are not in the position of power to dictate. All soon as you chose to build your model on the dependence on them, they will dictate how to behave, or you don’t get invitations, events, podcasts, mentions of your channels, etc. You might think differently, obviously, but that’s fine. What is not nice is how you value your audience. I thought people who watch and follow are important to you, but it seems it’s not. As soon as the opinion is different, instead of listening and understanding, you just say “free to stop watching”. I don’t know what is the point of being a public figure and not being able o cope with constructive criticism…
