Did you go half a size up? I’m trying to decide between the gore tex version and the regular version. I like the look of the gore tex more

I got my size and one up to try but on this one everything was fine with the sizing so my normal size was perfect. Nike was recommending to go size up only on the summer running model actually. Even though these shoes are kinda of thick inside so you may need to get one size up to try just in case. My feet are wider and these are very tight on my forefoot unfortunately. You can check my other video on the summer model which I think is a fail for a few reasons... This Gore-Tex model I have been wearing for a few weeks now and I like it much more than the summer model but I wouldn't say that I will keep it. The shoes are a little bit heavier and kinda hard for some reason. They don't conform to my feet easily. The shoes have multiple layers of protection and that's what makes them stiffer for your feet to move... I like them but not enough to keep... 😢 Another thing that happened to me yesterday was that I slipped on a wet surface and almost fell and this scared the shit out of me so definitely will not keep these... But please feel free to get them and try them out from Nike. They have 60 day wear and return No questions asked Policy! Thanks 👍

@@projectathos damn I’m glad you didn’t fall and hurt yourself, they do look a bit stiff. I’m not a big fan of the thin fabric on the regular ones, will have to wait and see what the gore ones are like I guess. I have wide feet too. I don’t run at all and buy Nike just because I like how they look. I bought the Nike Pegasus trail 3 and love them. Honestly the best Nike I have worn and I own about 12 pairs of different models. Thanks for your video, I feel like 99 percent of the shoe videos are made by runners. And did not show the details you did with how there gore tex is like a shell on top of the outside of the shoe. I’ll let you know how I get on with them. If you don’t mind me asking what country are you from? Sounds like maybe you live on the east coast. I’m from England but live in Seattle.

@@projectathos I really wanted to like these and the peg trail GTX 4 but in the former, like you, I found them stiff, slightly too narrow in the midfoot and too low on the forefoot pushing down on your feet. They also weren't as soft as I expected underfoot. The Peg 4 were slightly softer but really high heel toe drop and also still not soft enough for my liking. I don't have wide feet, but have a flat right foot which means I need a wider fit, and it's so hard to find a wide GTX shoe. I'm currently using mizuno wave rider, which aren't that wide but when I put my wide orthotic in the sides bend out turning them into a wide. Gonna try the hierro 7 gtx next. It may actually be my last hope of a wide and soft gtx shoe. The altra lone peak all wthr low is another option but can't find any discounts on it and I refuse to pay 150 quid for a shoe! It's also questionably waterproof I believe.
