Well this is jazzy blues.

The best and most mágical times of my life when I was 18 years old 😭. I miss all of this nightwish era.

Sorry haters, but Anette shows how versatile she is by completely nailing this song. Superb.

I saw them live in the US a little over a week ago, and this song was so cool! Anette was wearing the same hat, I love it! Too bad she's gone, she did an amazing job and sounded great live! I liked the Tarja years too but there's no use dwelling in the past, and I don't think Tarja could have done this song as well as Anette:)

Why the hell was this not on the latest dvd even with Floor? Along with takatavi,Scaretale and Rest Calm. We have missed a dvd of the entire imaginaerium show and have got more versions of songs on previous dvds....

I wonder the SAME damn THING..... c'mon!!! -.- I would listen to Scaretale in place of amaranth ANY day. A new DVD with no "slow love slow" and no "scaretale". And in place we have nemo (again) and wish i had an angel (again). These are wonderful songs but they already recorded them o dvd T_T

ToxicSally92 She's not so great singing this song either. This song with Anette is so beautiful :) I wonder if the new CD will be as theatrical as Imaginaerum - it seemed made for Anette's presence.

A Anette tem uma levada mais pop na interpretação, diferente da Tarja que era mais erudita. Mas ambas tem seu valor. Para músicas grandiosas como Fantasma da Ópera, Tarja é melhor. Mas para músicas como essa, que tem uma levada mais blues e jazz, ela se garante.

Anette was their best sinver, Songs used to sound better with her, i Miss nightwish with Anette :(

When people say Élan is good and that we shouldn't dismiss it just because it is a lighter, happier song, I always feel like it is an excuse to not see it as the major disappointment that it is, after so much hype around the album. When I think about lighter and unorthodox Nightwish songs, I think about this one. Anette just shines and shines and no one can top her here, Scaretale or Storytime and this coming from a hardcore Tarja era fan. This is a major accomplishment for Nightwish, to do something so different, so beyond their trademark sound. And I guess, it all started with Anette. So we that criticise Élan, are not living in the past, we just want a bit more challenge and creativity. Congratulations Anette, you might not have been able to sing Tarja's songs but you clearly own Imaginaerum. It does not matter how many say Floor sings it better.

Shame to see Anette and the band parting ways, very happy I got to see her one more time earlier this year.

@nwcarmen Yeah with a short, brown-haired girl (and a bunch of other people, but I did fly from Montreal with my friend, so I'd say I was with her most :P) I have to say, it was the best concert ever for me too. And I've seen Nightwish 10 times, so that's saying something, because they always are amazing!

@DarkHound9999 Thats not the only diffrent emppus signature has a custom neck profile and an alder body futhermore it comes from the ESP custom shop which means that the selection of the wood is better as on the standart models ! I own a ev guitar and I compared it with the horizon fr 2 at my local guitar store the ev was much better.

Indeed, but they are specialized in that sound, so obviously you can't compare to a band that is not used. Faith no More still experimented about 20 years ago. DSO took it to a whole other level and added elements of swing as well as jazz. Some people may not like it, but anything that can keep metal from growing stale and ever evolving is a good thing. Liv Moon is another band that makes interesting choices with J-rock and metal (from weird techno punk to classical).

now THIS is anette's bag :) i did'nt like when they had her covering tarja's songs, they're totally different singers this is one of my faves from the album and the band! :)

If that's the only song you've listened from their new album, I understand what you say, but... listen Last Ride Of The Day or Scaretale... they didn't change at all !

Tja could never sing this song this way. Her voice is all wrong for it. Excellent job by Anette
