This is the only version from Nightwish. Anette and Floor don't have the vocal technique and skills to sing this song, at least not and do it justice as has been done here. That's why they never performed this song after this. Anette was more of a pop style singer. Floor is more rock and metal. Tarja is a true classically trained singer. Floor studied "musical theater" or something like that at a "rock academy". But she never had the proper classical training like Tarja.

I've seen them in concert when tarja was in the band it was breathtaking me and my buddy got V.I.P tickets and net them after the concert they were so laid back like a family you could tell they have known each other even before the band such amazing band and people I remember just being mesmerized when tarja would talk LMFAO I remember thinking Jesus this woman could say anything and i would be in a trance

That wasn’t a Floorgasm, that was TARJA!!!!! Nightwish’s first singer. For more of her watch Sleeping Sun live, Dark Chest of Wonders, really anything from End of an Era dvd

Yep! there is only one true Nightwish and that is Nightwish with Tarja. The later iterations of Nightwish are okay but not quite the same.

The classical Floorgasm is sung in mix at full power. Mix is something Tarja doesn't do. She does belcanto head voice.

Masterful performance from Queen Tarja (prenounced Taria). One of the best shows i've been to. I was fortunate to see them on this tour before Tarja left. Which saddened me. But i am glad they have a decent heir to the throne in Floor. Brilliant reaction guys as always 🤘🤘

Not even close to being a Nightwish fan, but that performance has to be among the greatest of all time, of any band of any Genre. Top 10 all time in my book.

Tarja fans are the same. They're both great, so talented. Can we move on ??? This Tarja vs Floor shitfest is so old by now. Reminds me of the Ozzy/Dio shitfest, who was the better Sabbath singer. Can we love both and leave it at that?

Live music made to be seen as well as heard. Great group!

This song was sang by Tarja Turunen in the video you watched. She was Nightwish's original singer. She has a very operatic style to her sound. She was on the first 5 albums before being kicked out of the band. Anette Olzon is the second singer and she was on the next two albums. She has more of a poppy sound. Floor Jansen is the most current singer and she's been on one album. She has a mixture of poppy and operatic and is the most versatile of the three. The male singer in the band is Marco Hietala. He's also the bassist.

I love this version of the song She is unbelievable I took my Mom to Phantom about 6 times It was in St Louis at the Fox Theater A beautiful venue This is timeless music Thanks Guys BTW - Kel, close your eyes all you want, You're beautiful either way.

This is Tarja singing. She was the band’s original lead singer. The concert in Wacken (Ghost Love Score) is their current lead singer, Floor.

By far my fave nightwish song.

Yep, this was their first female vocalist, Tarja Turunen. She is a full fledged opera singer. This song was made for her.

She is trained in the sister discipline to opera, Lied ( German word) Chamber music. But both are sub disciplines of classical singing. And she is not trying to be 100% accurate to what a judge would score. Its a rock/opera inspired show tune as pointed out quite correctly. Then take into account she was fighting a head cold and throat infection and unable to sing the sound check earlier. The place is Hartwell Arena, Helsinki Finland. October 21, 2005. 11, 500 in attendance for the final performance of the world tour ONCE upon a dream. Celebrating the 5th album ONCE . They went all out on the tour. Video screens, costume changes. Tarja's matching of her microphone to her dress colour. The huge stage. This is a band who has toured Europe, South America, North America and I don't know but Asia too perhaps? It was Tarja's abilities and training ( rudimentary to what 25 years of training and practice has done) both in the academy in Germany and on tour. Not that you should let anyone pigeon hole her as just the classical/symphonic style singer. Her range of styles is impressive. The woman has done so much both with the band and on her own. Suffice to say fans of Tarja as a person and performer know her solo career has gone from high to high. Plus finding time to raise a daughter with her then & current husband/manager Marcello, to doing tv ( The Senior Voice Finland as a coach where, her student won this her 2nd season. An auto-biography Singing in my blood to her new group project Outlanders. Where she teams with superstar musicians to create a stripped down sound that is unique. The visualizers ( videos) filmed in Carribean nation of Antigua. One example being Vernon Reed of Living Colour. Land of Sea and Sky. The woman is just driven to be doing something creative. And by all accounts by her friends like Sharon den Adele of Within Temptation to Floor Jansen herself, A friend from before the latter's joining NW herself, She is every bit as warm, loving, giving and kind as she appears. With friends like that I know her professional and personal influence is and has been huge. Going back to the beginning of my point, it is because of her Symphonic metal is a thing and Nightwish is not a forgotten footnote in Finnish Folk rock history, instead of a global brand. And no that is no knock on who built up the band after that foundation built. Who was/is better/worse/right/wrong. Does not matter. The band and the Lady are doing great. The past is past and the future is bright as they enter middle age proper.

Your channel's been popping up in my "Recommended Channels" for a few days now so I had to check out your reactions. I don't usually suggest popular songs so I don't expect you to react to them but maybe ye might listen to them on your own time. Right now I'm into a lot of symphonic metal but my favourite genre is old school thrash metal from the 80s and 90s as well as TNWOBHM, which I noticed ye're into as well so I subscribed. At first I was a bit dissappointed because you listened to the audio track instead of watching the live video 🤔 but I watched it through and man you both did good 🤗. If there are people who could do justice to Nightwish songs without watching the live video.. its both of you. And I subscribed right away. But still I'm still hoping to watch you reacting to the performance they did since Nightwish is indeed the type of band who loves to 'perform' their song, not just singing and playing it. I love Tarja's voice ❤ Please react to "underneath", the studio version. This is one of the most beautiful Tarja Turunen's songs. It's from her solo career. I never saw anyone reacting to this. It is really a beautiful song, with a beautiful message.

This was from End Of An Era with Tarja their first vocalist. Floor is their third and current vocalist. Annette Olzen was their second vocalist....great reaction though!!

I love your reactions. And if you like these musical style songs i would recommend an older song. A song which is not so often shown in reaction videos. Nightwish ft Tony Kakko - Beauty and the Beast (live)

Don't mind me. I'm just passing through in my quest to see all reactions to Nightwish there are in YT. Ann W. & her fellow fans will keep you informed & busy with NW for sure. P.S. Hearing Marco sing the male vocals makes it hard to believe that he almost lost his voice in 1996 when a surgeon damaged a nerve into his vocal chords during a routine operation, which could even have been done with a laser.

You guys should check out the song "The Piper Never Dies" by German band Edguy. They were heavily influenced by Maiden in 2000s, but brought it all to a heavier sound :)

Nightwish is very much a live band. So the visuals are often a big part of the performance! But of course the music is most important! When you do "The Greatest Show On Earth", you have to watch the screen!

Because Floor fans don't typically care for the other singers despite the other singers have more fans and better songs.

I actually like that you close your eyes and listen. A lot of music is felt and sometimes you just need to block everything out and get in the zone. A lesser-reacted-to Nightwish song is Gethsemane. Good stuff. It has the same singer as this song (Tarja, at least on the studio version) as opposed to the Wacken concert videos (Floor).

Anne Rampling and "The Taming of the Sleeping Beauty", huh? You will definitely need a "special" someone for that ;) But this reaction was everything I was looking forward to, hearing Broadway mentioned during your Ghost Love Score reaction. Tarja was the original singer of Nightwish from 1996 to 2006 - thats the one you are hearing. She was fired after this particular live show because of her conflicts with the band (she woulf have gone soon herself too - she wanted to do a solo project). 2007 greeted Anette whom i really do not like with nightwish but she brought different energy. 2012 came in Floor who is the goddess of the song! I personally love Tarja's voice as much I love Floor :) she is good at what she does. Although I dont think that they are doing this in their setlist after they let go Tarja. :)

When listening any song for the first always do the studio version. you can hear instrument clearer in studio version.

you must play more of nightwish from this era 2005 with tarja the original singer.. look up "end of an era" dvd on here you will be amazed!!! and please show the video too if you can. every track on that dvd is excellent!!

SynlakrosS - Wish I Had An Angel (Nightwish cover) They're symphonic death metal from Spain. I would request my favourite song Dark Seed but y'all seem to be Nightwish fans and vocalist Patricia Pons does an excellent job singing as she's normally a growler.

Tarja is also amazing and this is one of her best. Another classic Tarja song is Nemo. Most of the others I prefer Floor's version. The other vocalist between Tarja and Floor was Anette and my favorite of her versions is Amaranth.

Guys Pllllllllllease! never confuse this vocalist's highs with anyone.This is the ONE AND ONLY TARJA TURUNEN. she is the finest soprano in symphonic metal. this materpiece of a performance took place right before she was cruelly excised from the very flesh of nightwish.........please consider reacting to her very early stuff ...anything from the wishes to wishes to eternity, her voice was even more compelling back then....

Does it matter who requested it? I have been a fan since 2004. I have too little time bicker over small issues. This off End of An Era a dvd they put out as Tarja's final performance with them.

I’m pretty sure that they retired this from their live play list when Tarja was let go so that performance was the probably the last of it. Could be wrong and I’m sure someone will correct me. Tarja still covers Phantom of the Opera from time to time. She did on Act I. There she is joined by Deigo Valdez, who in my opinion is an even better Phantom than Marco. I believe she has also performed it with Fiabio lione. Just because Nightwish can't cover the song anymore doesn't mean it's dead.

2 Seconds - that's Tarja :) A much deeper timbre than Floor, and due to that fact I'd like to hear a Floor version of that. Deep down I think that Tarja would have the upper hand due her different timbre with this very song.
