He is rated just Nightish guitarist

he seems like such a nice guy, and he plays the guitar incredibly

I was lucky enough to meet him the 9th of this month. Chatted with him a bit, got a picture with him, and he spotted me in the audience and alternated between flirting and making funny faces. It was amazing. One day you'll meet him. He really is a sweetheart.

Emppu has the most Finnish look's of all Finnish people. Unquestionable

Emppu is one of the founding fathers of NW. Very seldom a great guitarist of a world famous band is as humble person as he.

Emppu is the most gorgeous man in metal. His hair is so beautiful, and he really is a talented musician. It's my dream to one day see them live, and maybe be up in the front row and maybe even be noticed by him!!! That would make my life complete

Aww, finally at least a little interview with Emppu. I've always wanted to hear what he has to say, but it seems that everyone other than him have been interviewed through the years.

I was very, very lucky. And yes, he does speak English. Fairly well though heavily accented. He spoke English with me and didn't seem to have too much trouble understanding me or making himself understood. =)

With Sami left in 2001, Tarja 2005 and Jukka 2016, Emppu and Tuomas are the only two founding members of the band now.

I was about to say I finally found an interview with him, but I'm looking at comments and even a long time fan say that they don't see enough interviews with him! Ha ha, interesting! It would be nice to see something where he speaks English though.

I've heard his English isn't very good. Guess he can manage with the tourist English, but an interview about music and band could be a different thing. At least I saw one interview of the whole band in English, maybe it was in the Imaginaerum film night, and he answered something just shortly. But this translation was good, it showed his humour - which you can see at the stage too.

I would like to meet him someday, he is so sweet!

Hi, I am finding a lot of conflicting information online about whether or not he is married (people here and on facebook think he is married). Where are the sources that say he is taken? Everything I find is garbage and there is nothing available saying is taken. I would just like to know for sure. Thanks

He can speak English. It’s just he rarely does interviews so you don’t hear him talking in it. He most likely uses English at meet and greets in all countries except Finland.

Basically everyone outside Finland calls the language "finnish". Tre proper way to call it is Suomi.

@@abstractsuper Finnish pronunciation and and the sound structure IS actually closer to many Sub-Saharan African languages or Native American - or even Spanish & Italian (many false friends with Italian), than English. Like the Bantu languages are surprisingly close. I've met some Western Africans whose name is something in Finnish, or very close, and a few that could be, but just don't happen to be. Nigeria - 'nikeria' Examples: Gambia - kampia is Finnish. Guinea-Bissau - gini-'pisoo' (gini = gin). Ghana - Kana = 'hen, chicken (as food)' Finnish K is even heard as G very often with English ears. Togo - 'toko'. Benin - Penin 'dog's (older word, now dog = koira). Nigeria - 'nikeria'. Cameroon - Kameran = of the camera (camera's). Burgina Faso - Murkinataso would mean 'chow plane/level' (plane as in level, horizontal surface, or the abstarct level of performance etc.). Angola - 'Ankola' ('house of 'Anko' - possible Finnish name)... And there are more. Even the word Bantu itself sounds almost Finnish - unfortunately that word which is close to it isn't something to say in public without causing hilarity and some scowls :)

+WBGThunderstruck simply because he goes and have concerts in other Countries and USA too , that's why , personally I respect people that try to talk in my language when they come to my Country and I like a lot of Finnish musicians and that's the reason I'm learning Finnish we show respect when we at least learn to say a couple of words to somebody that we like

WBGThunderstruck English is the most universal language. I imagine Emppu knows some English but maybe his isn't as good as the other members so he doesn't speak it much.

@@hillaryes2998 I lived in the same city as Emppu's family for few years and saw them in a amusement park once and had a little chat there about our children and other stuff. Also Emppu has talked about his family (even though he almost never is in interviews) for example in that interview which I shared he says that he likes to go for forest trips with his family.
