    My grandma potty trained me one summer when i was 6 (no joke). She usually got up to pee in the night, so she decided to get me up to come with her. That was it. I was good to go after that

    Starting this with my almost 4 year old. She saw your video with Isaac and is super excited to be overnight potty training. First night tonight. We shall see how it goes. Using her older potty training underwear just in case because she can be a heavy wetter on top of the bed pads that you recommended. Thanks for all of the information. It's all wonderful.

    My almost-4-year old daughter is so stubborn. She's been fully daytime potty trained since 2. Now she's dry at night but wakes up and pees in the bed!

    Congrats on potty training at 2 years old. I am convinced that our kids like to switch things up (like pee in the bed even though they are potty trained) just to mess with their parents. Just when we think we have it figured out our kids throw a curve ball.

    Such great insight! Question, my 2 in a half year old still wakes up from his bed to come to our bed in the middle of the night. Do you suggest I first train him to stay in bed and then introduce nighttime potty training? Thanks for the advice!

  • @ActivelyFamily

    Is he coming to you in the middle of the night to help him go to the bathroom? He is probably waking himself up because he has to go to the bathroom. Once he masters that he should stay in his bed on his own and that problem will fix itself.

    I trained my son whole we co-slept. It was a doozy. Bit once inset my 3 alarms to get up to potty and then put towels over the matress leak proof cover, that was a game changer. It took us about a week and half to be honest. Sometimes we both missed the alarm or were too tired. That's our fault.

    This is awesome. I knew about liquids, but adding that extra before bed is awesome. I had an alarm ⏰️ that got me up 3 times a night to take my kiddo to the bathroom. He co-slept.😅🙄. I will do the same, but this one does Not co-sleep. She's in her bed. Taking away that nighttime oatmilk will be a doozy!

    @ActivelyFamily thanks! I'm back again for a refresher . I now have my 18 mo old son that's up to bat! Quick question, any tips for the last minute runner? My 3 yr old (the one I mentioned in the post 11 most ago) seems to sometimes wait til the verrrrry last second and goes running. How do I express to go when she feels it's versus waiting so long? And advice on pop fright? Scared to go due to tummy issues. Yes I've spoken with my pediatrician; I like to see if there are any other parental tips of the trade.

  • @ActivelyFamily

    Good question. You could easily introduce standing once your son has a good understanding of how/when to use the bathroom. In order words, once he is fully potty trained go ahead and teach him another way to do it (standing).

    How do you phase out the one hour wake up?

  • @ActivelyFamily

    @ActivelyFamily

    7 ай бұрын

    In practice your child should eventually start waking themselves up when they need to go or simply making it all the way through the night being dry. After a week or so you can phase out your wake ups.

    Thanks for your response. Should I change tactics if we’re going on week 7 with 2 dream pees, inconsistent wettings, and still no signs of waking up to urinate? Child is a 4y/o female who day time trained 2 years ago with very rare accidents during the day.

  • @ActivelyFamily

    You are right. For it to work you would need to limit the liquids before bed. You could wait until your child is older.
