Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On 1992 - TRUE ORIGINAL VERSION !

Музыка

Finally - This is the ORIGINAL version of Push the Feeling on by The Nighcrawlers, probably the most-remixed song ever. Every other time I see someone claim to be posting the original, it's always the breakout Dub of Doom or the '95 MK Edit. Not this time! Now you finally get to hear the full lyrics that MK somehow cut up into his classic. You're in for a shock - this sounds NOTHING like any of the remixes, sounds like a lame-ass Disco tune. Anyway, I post this for historical purposes, and to hopefully get some creative people out there making new remixes using different verses that never before used.
Sorry the first 2 or 3 seconds of the song were cropped out - had to get this by ripping the audio stream while playing last.fm.
Enjoy!

It was on the original cassette tape that I bought in 1992 - The artwork was the same that you see in this clip. I bought it for the Dub of Doom, which was the B-Side. This was the A-side. I hurriedly got into my car, played the B-Side first and paniced, thinking "What the hell is this? I bought the wrong tape!!!"

thanks so much i've been meaning for ages to find out what this original-original sounds like. i've heard it described many times as 'mid tempo rnb' which was totally misleading, its actually fairly typical of 92/93 stream of acid jazz/positivity house coming out of the UK. it's just mindblowing to play the first verse of this where all the vocal samples are, and switch to the dub of doom and see what MK did. to me it's got to be the most radical, original remix of another piece of house music ever

I'm still amazed by the original and can't get enough of it. Here's a full version: Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On (Extened Mix) 1992 The MK remix is but a parody and so are the other remixes of the remix. But we sure love them. I still couldn't find where the "urrgh" sound comes from. After some analyzing, here it is. It's from the word "learn", only transposed a tone down. So the remix lyrics truly go: "(L)ear(n) - (l)ive their lives agai(n) - (L)ear(n) - (l)ive their lives - to pull us", with "place to learn" sometimes added to it. Wonderful.

Love the break down. Before hearing the original my brain had turned it into "Burning, their lives again, Burning, the light of "Pullus" and repeat. There's a hard sound after the "learn" but before "Their Lives" which is where I pickup what is the ing sound that I can't work out is just a sample jump (ie it's just an artifcat of something I'm hearing as ing) or is an ing taken from elsewhere in the record and purposefully added to making Learn-ing.

It’s two completely different compositions - it’s like the more famous producer-driven version sampled an early 90s dance song - I like both

Genius!! I've been listening to this song since I was young and for the life of me couldn't understand what the hell he was saying.. So basically he sampled several pieces of the song and made it sound the way it does which is almost impossible to recite the lyrics cause it's chopped up words put together.. But thanks for this, this made my day 😊

Wow this was totally cut and pasted to form a classic. A shame the original was overlooked. Always wondered what he was singing, was nonsensical word-salad after all lol!

I hate to brag but I have got the Original 1992 CD Single. Track listing as follows: 1 Radio Mix, 2 Extended Mix, 3 MK's Nocturnal Dub, 4 MK's Deep Dawn Dub. I have always favoured the Radio and Extended Mixes over MK's Versions but wouldn't have minded hearing a Full Vocal MK Version to see how worked though.
