All the shots are edited from raw on LR. I shot these at f2, max iso 3200 min Shutter speed 1/60
When shooting at night, I shoot on the Canon 50mm 1.8. Shutter speed is somewhere around 1/15th to 1/30th od a sec. and i dont prefer taking photos above ISO 800

How to I turn on the burst mode in fujifilm? Thanks for this video 🙌
@erenjam

On the fujifilm x-t3 and x-t4 it’s CH on the dial. On other cameras go to drive mode and select h (high)
Thank you so much, I benefited a lot. How about using a tripod for this kind of photography? It takes time but you can go for aperture 8 and lower ISO.

@@erenjam how about using a monopod? You could also use it to beat muggers off 😀
Hey man! really enjoyed this video. I was wondering if I could ask, how do you go about taking photos at night safely? I know London has some shady characters about at nighttime, as does where I am in Australia. I'm worried that I'll end up getting mugged, losing my camera/phone, or worse.

Much appreciated 🙏🏼 It’s a good question, statistically city centres are really safe, then news cycle can make it seem like it’s not but the likelihood you’ll encounter a problem in a city centre is low. That said, if in doubt I bring a small bag with me and stick my camera in there when needed, out of sight out of mind. I shoot and live in south London but have never come up against an issue, just have to keep your eye on your surroundings when walking about.

Durable post, clearly presented, Eren 👍. Vid 1st iteration of “Apature” - British spelling?😁 Corrected later. (Picky, picky, picky). Seeking light and working scene sound advice. However, hanging around some areas at that time can be risky. When assessing highlights exposure, are you using histogram, clipping indicators (aka blinkies) or eyeballing the lcd? Mixed lighting of night scenes - what white balance? Some light sources can produce banding in images taken at higher shutter speeds - are you using mechanical, electronic, or combo shutter? (No logos in T-shirt this time; in laundry?😁) Cheers!
@erenjam

🤣 ... Ahhh again, the text feature on Final Cut makes it easy to miss, going to start doing a final text review from here on in. On the risk, usually in central areas where it’s pretty crowded should be fine. As for white balance, I keep it auto and fix in post mostly.

You did some great shots in here. However I do not like to raise the shadows to much in post editing because it tends to get more noisy, nevertheless great shots. Subscribed

I have a silly question there, I understand by using a wide aperture at night allows as much light in as possible, but how do you prevent background blur if you have two subjects one is in the foreground and the other is in the background?
@erenjam

to prevent background blur you're going to want to increase the aperture or reduce the amount of depth in frame

Dear Eren, I’m considering buying a x-pro2 used or a xt4 used. The price difference is 600 dollars. Do you think it’s worth spending that extra 600 dollars for tilted screen, better evf, IBS, better auto focus, and better sensor? Thanks!!
@erenjam
3 жыл бұрын
Yh, you'll be able to do so much more with the XT4, $600, especially if you go into video someday. I prefer the X-Pro2 as I just like the rangefinder form factor when shooting street, but technically, the XT4 is a much much better camera.
@zhepingwang4954
3 жыл бұрын
@@erenjam you are right man. I totally agree with what you said. And to be honest, you took just as great photos with xpro2 as XT4. Because you are a great photographer! You know, one thing that bothers me so much is how the tilted screen on XT4 works. I understand that how it’s tilted is mainly for videos, but when we shoot photos and want it tilt instantly like XT3, the process became a two step process: flip up, then make the turn. It’s really crazy .
Nice video. I find that with my XT-3 the pictures taken at night turn out like they were taken with a flash. The camera adds extra light rather than exposing according to the natural lighting. I have to underexpose by at least 1 1/3 stops to get a picture that resembles the actual scene. Do know of any setting or technique that would enable me to photograph night scenes as they actually appear, without my having to underexpose at least a stop? I shoot JPEG. Thanks

Just out of interest, why would you set your shutter speed to 1/60th, and then constantly use exp comp at -1 or -2? Why not just set a faster shutter speed to start with?
