Really love the G80! It feels more spacious and luxurious than its' German competitors. I know, that's a bold statement. But once you get in one and start poking around, you really feel the quality of this car.

Maybe because this car is a decent hybrid of german styling and asian engineering backed by determination to make car as close to ideal as possible. Ongoing Korean development from so many years just look at Kia/Hyundai history, it is impressive! High five from Poland guys, I'd love to see them in EU to wipe that grim smile from german titans :D

When I first saw that this design I honestly wasn't feeling it. I loved the look of the current g80 sport. However after seeing videos of this on your channel, I really like this car and would be stoked to have this.

I tend to prefer sedan's to SUVs. They are less bouncy, and smoother around turns and curves. If I were the passenger, and wanted a smooth ride so I could conduct business or relax while someone else drives, I would go with the sedan. If it were a matter of bringing lots of cargo with me, the SUV would win by default.

I currently drive a 2011 BMW 535xi and was seriously considering getting a new one but Genesis just made my decision much more difficult. I felt that my car was the best one I've driven but now, I'm going to have to test drive this car. I really like it. It may just out BMW my BMW!

I’m guessing the rear screens link some way to another device for movies and music? Maybe I missed that part. You do such a great job documenting 0-60 times, braking, and other important safety features, I was wondering if you might start measuring cabin noise levels?

Excellent video as always! I have a 2016 Nissan Murano I might trade it in for this vehicle. This car looks so high end. It looks like a modern car from a futuristic anime.

Is there a good lateral support in the front and rear seats?. -Plastic parts (panel and so on), what is inside so is it soft or hard material?. A soft plastic material would be of higher quality.😉 -What do you think about sound insulation indoors?, dashboard and so on (is real / correct luxury car at issue?).🤔

I like your videos very much. The "3rd" Gen G80 is very nice, I'm hoping to test drive soon. I'll be comparing the 2021 G80 Prestige to the much less expensive 2021 Lexus ES 350 Luxury. I'll be curious if the $16K difference in price will be justified. For a few thousand more than the G80 Prestige, I may buy a new Lexus RC F Premium Package instead of a luxury sedan. Looking forward to a new review from you of a G80 RWD 3.5TT and your thoughts between AWD vs RWD. I'll have to decide which is more important to me...saving money on the Lexus ES 350 Luxury and giving up the "upgrade" I may find in the G80 Prestige, or forget the sedan cruiser action completely and go with the RC F GT action. Test driving of all three should help me to decide what is really important to me.

Hey go look at the new gv70 .. you might like it better.

I am considering BMW 540 which has almost same power. BMW of course has the bragging rights and is more expensive. But that aside it is one of the best handling cars I have driven. But I am now considering this. I love the 2021 G80 design. Have you driven BMW and if yes, how does this compare with the handling compared to bimmer. e.g one aspect I absolutely hate in some cars is toy like steering feel. I like a heavier and more precise steering control. Thanks

Is That a Full Size Sedan Competes to BMW 5 Series,Audi A6,Mercedes E Class or Lexus ES 350 F Sport

I'm wondering what the liability / legal decisions are that make Kia/Hyundia choose to go the route of disabling LKA on a vehicle with an unattentive driver... Normally, I'd assume that it's because if they disable LKA and the vehicle is involved in an accident, they can't be blamed for it. A bit short-sighted and certainly unsafe. I think I like Nissan's route better: Starting with beeping, then progressing to louder beeping, followed by a quick tap(s) of the brakes, and finally, if nothing else works, Nissan ProPilot Assist will apply the hazard lights, and slowly bring the vehicle to a complete stop. Obviously, not something you'd want to do on a highway, but much better than continuing at high speeds with no guidance, and eventually crashing into something, or someone...

Lovely car. Can't wait 2 see d new g-90 with this same type design language. It will be amazing I'm sure. D only snag 4 me is how low d reverse lights are, almost by d exhaust pipes. That will make it almost impossible 4 anyone behind 2 see it especially of they're driving.

I did not like the car at first because they did not add rear infotainment system on the back for more luxurious feel till there was and now I'm starting to like it then the newer 2021 escalade

The Genesis G70 is the fastest Korean car, with the Kia Stinger close behind. The Stinger feels a bit more sporty though, in terms of design aesthetics and engine sound.

Являюсь сотрудником Хендэ в России, у Нас основными претензиями людей к хендэ/киа являются плохая шумоизоляция, не идеальные настройки подвески и рулевого управления по сравнению с WV group, и некоторые замечания к коже рулей, и эргономике сидений (короткая подушка, недостаточная поддержка боковая). Очень жалко, что неудачным получился запуск seltos в России. У машины сломался вариатор прямо во время обзора на пробеге 4 т. км. и KIA вместо того чтобы разобраться в этом, просто забанило его =( А так Большое Спасибо Вам за обзоры, Очень Ждем появления g80 new, gv80, gv70, и g70 new у нас в России. Я считаю, что только с данной серией genesis как бренд может сильно подтянуть свои позиции, так как только щас получились автомобили оригинальные, современные и претендующие на настоящий статус "премиума". Спасибо.

Rear at night looks like an Aston

Can anyone confirm whether you can restrict rear seat passengers from accessing some or all of the functionality in the rear seat controls? i.e. lock it out from the front. I’m not sure I’d be happy with granting full control to passengers, especially children.

Would like to have this vehicle to have added Zones of Illumination to allow the opened vehicle door to be automatically illuminated at night by another vehicle drivers headlights, EVEN WITH A PERSON OUTSIDE THE OPENED VEHICLE DOOR AT NIGHT. Also have added "A' Pillar Vehicle Door Illumination that automatically illuminates BOTH the opened vehicle door and the person outside the opened vehicle door "independently" of not having the lights on the vehicle at night. Stay safe and lets do a video on what all vehicles need to advance design/safety and utility. Why ? All vehicle doors at night on all vehicles are accidents waiting to happen. Not sure if the viewers here are used to just getting punished but, just some constructive criticism: maybe don't overlay bright white screens throughout a video showcasing a night drive? People may be watching at night, on a higher brightness, to try and see parts of the interior..

I was really interested in GV80 but all the issues being reported out of Korea with all the new genesis and hyundai/kia vehicles is down right scary. Hopefully they iron out all the issues while the launch in the state side is delayed

ph00ny1....Only issue I read about was that the 3L diesel model needed a re calibration of some sort because because there was some vibration from the engine. Genesis recalled this model and has a quick fix.

@@Jeremy-nv8kf Quite a few battery drain issues. Apparently there was even one that went dead rolling off the assembly line. Also vibration issue as reported by a few. One even caught on fire, lots of assembly with incorrect trim (some have gone as far as installing the right trim on one door but wrong one in the opposite door). Also many examples of electronic issues and they don't have a straight answer

@@ph00ny1 The one that "caught fire" was an accident after a piece of a road/vehicle debris got caught underneath the underbody and the friction ignited it. Had nothing to do with the car. There were some software errors that had to be recalled and the diesel vibration, but the rest of what you are mentioning are one-off cases gathered from Autopost, which is a clickbait tabloid site and very anti-Hyundai. Verify your sources. As for the Stateside delay, that has nothing to do with quality. @@gasstation405 Just to be clear, i'm not trying to be anti-genesis but rather very interested individual looking for a 3 row suv and GV80 fits the bill and that meant I'm going to end up reading a lot of content. Not going to deny that some of the issue information came from autopost but that wasn't the only source 1. GV80 launch in korea launched after its 2nd delay with speculations that there were issues (unconfirmed of course since no in their right mind will tell you that car they're about to release has issues). Also note that launches dates range from late last year to earlier this year (pre-dating rona pandemic) 2. It was widely reported that diesel model was the only one with vibration issues and they've gone as far as stopping the delivery of the vehicle in June but browsing the forums, you would think that 2.5 gasoline model is the one having the vibration issues (this is apparently similar to some of the newer kia and hyundai models). This was reported during test drives by quite a few "influential" auto youtubers in korea pre-launch 3. Quite a few posts from the owners in the Genesis owners reporting that some vehicles have had full drain on the battery day after taking delivery. There is even a vehicle coming to a full stop while being driven with a complete drain of the battery up to a point where hazard light doesn't come on. Some have speculated that it's a bug with the connected service but no one knows 4. Not limited to genesis but it seems like they're struggling with software aspect of the automobile. GV80 was recalled due to an issue with auto/stop and transmission control causing the vehicle to not be able to move after auto stop is initiated. This issue was reported with other vehicles using electronically controlled transmission selectors Not saying all genesis will have the above issues but there seem to be a common theme. As for the G80 on fire, i couldn't find any info on it as the information seems to be taken down but road debries gets into the engine bay in a modern vehicle? That's going to be a hard to do with all the plastic covering that gets added to the cars now days. It's not like g80 has any fancy ducting for brake cooling or anything. I think i saw a similar comment on it and don't remember seeing any "damage" besides the burning front end but without the ability to retrieve the info, can't really confirm or disagree. Also to re-iterate, i really like the gv80 and hope that it turns out to be exactly what i want. Its nearest competitor aviator was way too soft for me despite it being nice inside out. I've had new vehicles with ton of issues in the past and i just don't want to go through that again.

That much money and they give you a can of fix a flat?? What if you are out in the middle of nowhere, and you blow a sidewall, or get a puncture so large fix a flat won't work? I would demand a full size spare for that amount of money...sheesh.

Asian Petrolhead What I don’t understand from Genesis is that old G80 has adaptive headlights, but the new one doesn’t. Not only the new G80. Also the GV80 doesn’t have it. Come on Genesis, companies improve their Vehicles by keeping the good and practical options in the new generation and add some new options to them. It’s something Genesis must reconsider if it wants to compete with the Germans in the luxury segment. Specially with the high price it charges for G80 and GV80.

@@3mori460 It has matrix headlamps, which are far better and more advanced than standard adaptive high beams like the old G80. It's the same as the Germans'. No idea where you're getting your information.

Gas Station Matrix headlamps?? Do u mean like the one in Audi vehicles??? 😂🤣. Listen dude adaptive and smart lights should move up and down, right and left once you start the engine. You may see it clearly at night time. This car doesn’t. And when you move the steering wheel right or left the lights turn with you at the same direction and in this Genesis lights don’t turn or go up and down. Where did you get the better and more advanced part from?? 😂
