Nobody gave Nigeria a chance at the last Womens World Cup. Yet they qualified. Why does this lady think Nigeria cannot scale through that group? Yes, the Manager was conservative against South Africa in the second leg, but he got his tactical plan right. I however agree that Nigeria's attack was almost non existent but I will put it down to the players in that forward line against South Africa in Pretoria. Nigeria did have a glaring chance to score in the first half of the game in Pretoria but failed to take the chance. It wasn't the Manager's fault that that forward player didn't put the ball in the net even at close range. Also, this same Super Falcons should have scored up to three goals against South Africa in Abuja. The forward players were wasteful. It's not fair to blame the Manager all the time. Waldrum during the post match press briefing in Pretoria said that the NFF need to help in preparing the team for the Olympics in Paris. He said that the team needs to Camp in Europe. Let's remember that there were issues that affected the team before the last Womens World Cup....that was squarely the fault of the NFF and NOT the Manager! If this female Nigerian team is going to qualify out of that group in the Olympics, NFF MUST assist the Manager prepare the by providing the logistics, funds to Camp in Europe and ensure that the team has a relatively ample time to train together without any distraction. Allowances must be paid to the players and Coaching Staff as at when due. The NFF MUST rise up to the occasion this time around. The distractions before the last Womens World Cup should not happen again ! 🙄

I don't agree with your analysis because you are using a match to judge a coach. Did you watch the world cup at all? Did you you see what the coaching crew did with technicalities, tactics, etc. That is how you know if a coach is good. Coach Waldrum is a first rate coach and your expectation that the super falcons will just go to the Olympics to make the number. it seems you guys don't have the necessary football fundamentals.

She is entitled to her opinion and she is analysing based on current form. If the Super Falcons play the world champions Spain and Brazil just the same way they did against South Africa then our chances are very slim at the Olympics 2024. #Facts.

I really don't agree with the analyst, She can do better...firstly , comparing Waldrum(4231) tactics to Peseiro(3421) was faulty, they don't use the same formation. Nigeria played better and more offensively in the 1st half of 2nd leg , but couldn't convert the few chances we had. I won't blame the forwards bcos the few chances were more of 50/50 and needs a technical striker to finish off. Second half was were S/ Africa changed their tactics and the coach affirmed that and u can expect their energy level to be different and that was when we went a bit more defensive without a change in formation. Many reasons for that which can't be explained here. Also, I believe we are not Just going to be participating we are going to do well @ the Olympics provided we can have the right mix in attack.

You are right. The lady was wrong to say that Waldrum borrowed pesseiro style of play. Has she forgotten what waldrum did in the World Cup? We just need to work on our attack. Defense and midfield are good.
