In Atalanta 1996, Nigeria defeated Argentina 3-2 at the finals and won a Gold medal. Prior to that, the super eagles defeated Brazil at the semis with one of foothballs' biggest historic come-back. Plus the Great Maradona played in that match so it doesn't get any bigger. Get your records straight bro.

Argentina defeated Nigeria at the 2008 Beijing Olympic final 1-0 to win their second consecutive football gold medal. Neither Argentina's victory over Nigeria in the 2008 final nor Nigeria's semifinal victory 1996 over Brazil are senior level matches. Maradona did not play in the 1996 Olympic tournament as he was banned from playing re testing positive for ephedrine in the 1994 World Cup after the victory over Nigeria in that World Cup. Nigeria has yet to defeat Argentina at the senior level in a competitive ie non friendly match. Get your facts straight Brah!

Which is not surprising, when one considers Nigeria has been found cheating ie fielding over age players a number of times, as a result Nigeria has been banned from several tournaments in different age groups. In fact several of the Nigerian players who won the final of the 1996 Olympic tournament were later exposed as cheats as they had participated in previous age restricted tournaments with a different date of birth, oooops!

Ridículo? Por perder con Nigeria en dos partidos amistosos? El historial entre ambos es 6-2-1 a favor de Argentina. Nigeria es una buena selección que sabe jugar bien al fútbol. Obviamente no tiene los pergaminos de Argentina pero es una selección fuerte con una gran presencia en los torneos juveniles al ganar 5 copas sub 17 y una sub 23 ie juegos olímpicos.

It was cancelled because of the 1 goal scored by Argentina, not Messi. Fifa said the game was fixed because Nigeria totally dominated Argentina who presented a team B then when the game was over at 4nil, the reff keeps adding time till Argentina got one back by a lame penalty. The reff was suspended, the match was recalled, Argentina was warned to bring their full team A along with Messi and Argentina won in Asia 3-1. Nigeria furthern won a totally world star studded Argentina side 4-2 but without only Messi available due to injury. I guess the young lads Nigeria won 4-1 later won 2022 Wc
