Greetings! It is the same for me here in Chile :)

I have to share...twice for Christmas dinner I have made the gravlax salmon, but instead of shaving, cut it into fillets and then cook them on the grill (or barbecue) which is sort of like home smoked salmon. It is incredible. It takes 7-8 minutes to cook, frees up the oven on Christmas day, and will have everyone thinking you are a wizard. It may sound mad, but trust me it is divine.

I've actually made a few times Nigella's spruced up vanilla cake from 1 of her Christmas episodes! I've used a Bundt pan and at times added pineapple slices & candied cherries onto the top.

if you don't like the bitterness of prunes, use dates in the Christmas cake. because it is really strong of prunes.

I love Christmas just wished I found nigellas vids in December but now saved these and will get her books. This Christmas I’m gonna follow nigellas ingredients and make a Christmas cake. Also going to try making mince pies again with the star on,everything I cook I like them cooked well ,but will follow nigellas way this time. Love spouts and mash fried the next day will be a bit more experimental this time. Nigella when is best time to make Christmas cake? My mother and sister always made theirs in October then wrapped it in foil and that other grease proof paper till it was Christmas,but mother put every alcoholic booze she had in then soaked all her fruit over night before baking the cake. P.S how do I make crackling as it should be please mine never turns out

There’s no pork allowed at our home so I usually cook lamb for Christmas and this year it’s lamb stew!

Dear Nigella how long do you keep the meats, Brussel sprouts etc. as cold. ? I got food poisoning from Shrimps and again an egg sandwich which had gone really bad the next day. My home help smelt that and I missed out thank goodness. Have you ever ha d food poisoning ?

I never leave every light on in the house when I go overseas. And mother always told us kids about dumping your coat and bags on the floor before charging into the kitchen to raid the fridge.

It is if using bergamot oil from plants but some teas use artificial bergamot so it’s not suitable for vegans
