They're not staying yet, but Poland will go the way of the west over the next 20 years or so, because their youth have already been gotten to. They're not having kids and choosing feminism etc, which means no workforce, which means you have to open up to migration long term like the UK after the 60s and the decline in the fertility rate below replacement level. There is a big difference to immigration and migration. One is illegal the other legal. If someone who isn't British goes through the proper paths to becoming a citizen then they absolutely deserve to be amongst us. But people coming over illegally, jumping through loopholes and causing issues deserve nothing but a prison cell or a boat ride back in chains. Because at the end of the day they are criminals, willing to scramble over one another to greedily take from us without a care in the world for what makes our country united. N if they don't respect us then why should we show them any respect either.

I bought a bottle of Ballantines whisky for 1000 yen in Japan. That’s about £5-6. For a full size bottle. So despite the cost of importing the whiskey and the profits for the companies that do it, they still manage to sell a product we make here for less than half what we pay. Taxes for ordinary consumers in this country are out of control.

An immigrant's pov: as a Bulgarian, I am aware of the Bulgarian reputation. I have 2 degrees, speak 5 languages and hold much gratitude for England. I found it a matter of respect to integrate, respect I owed to England and myself. I befriended anyone with an English accent, but I swiftly realised the confusing fact that everyone clung to their 5% Irishness, "English" is a "slur". It's been 10 years, and the lack of patriotism and forgetting what founded this country (Christianity - the very thing you have on your flag) are exhausting. I fight for the English and English nationals, quoting basic English history and achievements, while the well-educated (middle and upper-middle class) English self-hate. It is beyond me how the English do not know who Mary Queen of Scots is, or that slave abolishing was an English deed in 1833, or where NI goes and that it is different from taxes (invite to go to gov). Very few will care for your garden if you abandon it. Farage is not wrong for being cautious with the unknown, Bulgarian politicians are scamming the EU (hence why we leave. The people are different from the politicians as the English know) but I ask - how will Farage promote the English culture? Is he going for chauvinism, jingoism or patriotism? What does it mean to be English (clue it is not fish and chips)? Many Europeans will be happy to comply, but you need to know what England did, does and what being English means. Be that as it may, he seems like your smartest choice now; as a child of post-communism, I recognise its early stages in Kier, and advise against it. Hope this helped someone.

The fact is a democratic system can easily be manipulated over time, Yuri Bezmenov told us that in the 1980's , especially if one side has a strict ideology and the other side doesn't. We've relied on "the other side" to work for us and it did for a long time but after Margaret Thatcher they essentially merged and EU membership sealed the lid until 2016.. sadly the uniparty still holds sway. That's what has happened in the UK since WW2 but has accelerated in recent years under the EU and guess what it is only going to get worse. cheers

First up thanks for a very thoughtful post. There was no to tell us you educational background, we "brits" would say "we'll be the judge of that based on what you say.." or in the case of those "other" Bulgarians "what they do..". However, your 2 degrees and 5 languages might have meant the people you've asked about being English were of similar backgrounds, I don't know a single working class person who isn't patriotic. Your 10 years here include the 2016 referendum so you should understand what the problem is. The intellectual class are the people, I think David Goodhart described as the "nowheres" on the "remain" side in the Brexit argument. The only problem us plebs have is putting that patriotism into words and like it or not "fish and chips" is a good way of doing that because I understand exactly what they mean. I wouldn't dream of asking another English person what our culture was because it's not just about words in a history book for us. I want to know what a foreigner thinks English culture is and if they think holding a British passport is all that's required then the game is lost. Thankfully, the "new English" will be folk like yourself, oddly enough that "Britain built by immigrants" we keep hearing about might have some meaning in 2024 after all! cheers

The problem is the voting public. It's been clear that neither Labour or Tory wanted Brexit to happen. The Labour party briefed the EU against the UK to prevent a good deal. The Tory party targeted every prominent Brexit supporting politician and replaced them with EU supporters like Cameron (not even a sitting MP). However despite this the public continue to elect the same two political parties. I've lost count of the times someone has told me they worry about immigration and then say they intend to vote Labour. There is a complete lack of education when it comes to politics in this country.

I just drove Southampton to Porton. Walking pace traffic on main roads in what used to be rural areas. I returned to Soton via Romsey to avoid Salisbury. But as bad. Housing estates appearing everywhere. Legal net mign 745k last =6k homes/week😮 Too many people = too many cars Rural areas are being destroyed. The globalists would be happy to see all of England turned into a tarmac jungle industrial. All that matters to them is GDP/square mile. And this impacts working class most of all. Jobs taken, wages compressed. Council house waiting lists expanded to ten years. Vote reform

I remember my dad and his mate in 2004, builder and plumber, saying that the Eastern Europeans would put them out of business - and that happened because they were offering services at less than half the going price. Great for customers who would pay the new arrivals cash-in-hand, no receipt, but terrible for well-trained Englishmen.

This episode was before I subscribed. I couldn’t find it on KZread but I think I’ve just found it elsewhere. I’m still very much a Remainer and don’t but in to the ‘democratic’ argument but I’m also very open to being persuaded and think it’s entirely possible there’s a layer of complexity and especially a longer term issue I’m not giving enough weight to. So, whilst I do feel pretty strongly I am also genuinely open to changing my mind so will listen to the three episodes with NF. I do think that the EU may change some of its immigration policies in the near future.

Immigration is a taboo subject in the UK because restricting it would define the UK as being fundamentally different than America, with different values and therefore a lesser country than the US.... because the US is all about going there and making something of yourself.

The US is in a very similar place to us but on a much bigger scale. Biden has demonstrated what we are about to experience, total ciaos under a left wing government. At least they may be coming out the other side with a Trump government. We on the other hand are about to run headfirst into it.

Interesting point. The truth is that 70 percent of our genes (Celtic genes) are 5000 years old in these islands. The Anglo-Saxon genes are 1500 years old and the small Norman genes date back to 1066 (36 generations old). There was been no appreciable migration at all until 50 years ago. We are NOT a nation of migrants and the original migrants were all north western Europeans. I made a video on my channel to convince you to vote REFORM UK. It is an intellectual argument in three parts lasting fifteen minutes. I managed to overcome fear of the woke media, I am retired now and so I do not have to fear for my job to tell the truth.
