How much longer than the modopoint spec is the exterior length?

What do you think about Nidecker Escape and Supermatics with this boot or would the Altai be a better choice?

So I’ve been looking at a lot of boots and with the Altai they seem to be less durable then the rifts however the altai are stiffer so if you want a stiffer boot the Altai would be a better option but the rift is a more well rounded boot

Good information on the tech and how they perform, but nothing on fit. Boot reviews in general are fairly meaningless without talking about fit. It doesn't matter how good they are if they're the wrong shape for your foot. What type of foot, ankle, heel and lower leg do the suit? What's the forefoot width? Do they suit a narrow heel and ankle? Do they have a high, medium or low instep? (this is vital info for heel lift) What sort of arch support do the footbeds provide, high or low? Is the upper section suited more to chunkier calfs or chicken legs? As you can probably tell, I have a hard time finding a well fitting boot. I've got a low instep, narrow heel, with skinny ankles and calfs. It never ceases to amaze me how the industry, in particular shops in the UK, is so behind with boot fitting. To sum it up, I went and tried a few different boots on in a reputable snowboard shop and at no point did the guy "fitting" my boots measure my feet or take a look at their shape. In a separate ski and snowboard shop on the same weekend, I looked on enviously at a couple having some ski boots properly fitted with an experienced tech. When I tried some boots on in the same shop all I got from the young guy sorting snowboarders out was "how do they feel" and "they look sick".

Hey! I know this was a month ago but I had the same problem. No burtons fit me right because I had a narrow heel so I slid out when I leaned forward. Tried these ones and they were a nice snug fit. Fit true to size and they were very form fitting. Highly recommend giving them a try

every foot is different - just order them and if you don‘t lile them, return :) i‘ve tried many boots and the Ride Lasso was by far the boots with a snug fit at the heel, for me they were too narrow and caused pain - sounds like you can give it a try 😀👌🏼

I bought this boot and returned it. I found it way too stiff and I couldn't use this for any tricks as it severely restricts you from bending your legs. It's only useful for carving. It definitely shouldn't have a flex rating of 6. It's much stiffer than the Nitro Team which is rated 8 by Nitro. It's also stiffer than the Northwave Edge and stiffer than the Salomon Savage.

It was comfortable, had no pressure points and more adjustable than other Nidecker boots I tried before. Also well insulated.@@romaniasvic213

You're off your rocker. I ride these and they're more like a 5/10. Don't skip leg day.

can‘t agree with that dude. Right out of the box they feel like a 6.5/10, super comfortable and high quality. when riding they flex down towards 5.5 and stay concistent. However, it‘s really not a stiff boot 😅
