You know why I think we all love him so much? He is unapologetically, fascinatingly, endearingly odd, and he has absolutely no pretention about him. He doesn't feel a need to justify himself, and he projects that on to everything around him. Nick Cage is the constant. He is the human spirit.

He doesn't have to do anything special, he's funny with out trying to be. He's such a likable guy, and he seems very modest with these answers too.

This man is as professional as an actor can get. Even when he talks about his lesser known movies or those that sparked criticism or mockery among the masses, he addresses them as his children, as integral parts of what makes him the man he is. Not only that, he clearly pours his heart out in every single role he's in. And calling that attitude "commendable" would be a grave understatement.

@@steveosk8s As much as some critics lambaste his method of acting, you can tell he has passion and respect for the art of film making. Otherwise he might have tried to answer some of those questions. People who know films know that you get what you perceive out of many films, not what the director and anyone else intends for you to perceive.

He seems like a genuinely polite, charming and well-mannered person. I also appreciated that he gave full, informed answers to these questions; made sure that the people wondering these things got their answer, instead of making a half-hearted joke that misses it completely. I mean, if they don't want to answer a question, of course that's their right to not answer that question, but they can just say that too, like he did with the Graceland question. Anyway, nice guy.

@@oscarx-ray3545 to be fair Hoult isn't exactly that much less famous than Cage (granted, Cage is pretty much legendary) and when he says he's supporting Hoult it just means Dracula's role in Renfield is that of a supporting character, as opposed to the main character, which is Renfield. Still pretty humble of him to present the fact as it is, though

i like how he acknowledges the fact that people interpret his movies differently and wont answer some questions as to not ruin someone's perception of him and his movies.

I really like how he sees movies as something unique to each viewer. He cares more about the audience's relationship with his films than their relationship with him.

@@johnpacino4491 The little in-between moments that they don't cut give it away. I initially found him offputting because it didn't seem like natural behavior like these interviews usually are. Turns out he was still putting on a show with himself peeking through occasionally. It clicked and I "got it". He's very straight-faced about it, but he's being silly. Nick is a nice guy. He just comes off as odd until you see it.

@@burbles4185 His oddness becomes funny when you realize that a) he is quite self aware and b) is an incredible actor. So whatever he's doing, it's not accidental.

I love how genuine he is. As crazy as some of his roles make him seem, he's a very down to earth, modest guy with a buttload of talent.

I really like that Nicholas Cage is just rolling with the fact that people want to see more of him being exaggerated Cage. I would love to hear all his stories.

He also has a charismatic yet borderline disturbing intensity about him. His story at 1:30 about going to stunt driving school is a perfect example. At the end of telling his little tale, he lets out a meme of an unexpected single chuckle at the end while his body remains completely deadpan. I love him.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is truly Cage’s tour de force. He plays an exaggerated caricature of himself, and in doing so, reveals the real outrageousness of his life and the nuttiness of his imagined lifestyle. Very funny, and definitely worth the twelve bucks.

He is endlessly entertaining. There is just something about this guy. I think it's a willingness to go just about anywhere in a character (even if that character is a version of yourself). He has done some of the wildest things on screen of any actor. I think that's why you just have to love this guy.

Nick makes choices in his acting roles. Sometimes the movie isn’t good, but it’s always entertaining. I’d rather be entertained then like the movie. He’s simply awesome.

That about sums up a majority of his 2010's movie run. Maybe not the best movies overall but Nic is always giving it his all.

What a great Actor. I've enjoyed every performance he's given. Not every movie has had a great storyline but whatever he appears in, you know his acting is always going to be top shelf. Thanks for what you do!

I think the media didn't like the fact that his Godfather is Francis Ford Coppola, so he got early roles handed to him. But i'd say he's earned his chops over the years.

Let's be fair, he's a weird dude. However, I think had any of us normal folks been given Hollywood money we'd all be indulging our weirdness in the exact same way he does.

He really has his own charisma. He answer the questions effectively,and a little daddy joke. It's kind of hard to explain,but he really have his kind of character. I really love his movies, stay healthy mr. Nick , i can't wait to watch your next movies

I honestly don't think he's talented as an actor. I've always thought he was a terrible at that. He seems like a nice genuine guy, and can be entertaining, but as far as acting goes...I never thought he gave great performances. He always over-acted and made his characters seem odd and even slightly insane.

Nicholas Cage is authentic, very articulate with obviously a sophisticated mind, and he is sooo talented, we just watched Family Man on tv yesterday, he was so genuine and bright, what a beautiful couple they were with Tea Leoni in this movie, and his smile always brights up his beautiful face

Him dressing as a normal person is nice too. Love him

"Is -Nicholas- Nicolas Cage goth?" He's goth enough to know that you can't just answer that question with a straight "yes", at least.

I love how mellow and chill Nick Cage seems when you don't see him in a movie or show but the every role he's ever in he's dialed up to 11.

Nick Cage is one of my all time favorite actors! I really enjoyed this interview!

First saw him in windtalkers when I was very small. Watched that VHS till it stopped working. Been mesmerized by everything he does ever since

Very sympathetic Guy! And for the fact of not beeing on social media, I love him even more!

This is great to see Nicolas Cage outside of the movies. Definitely seems like a nice guy and fun to be around! Keep doing this segment with him, he’s great at it!!

I love that Captain Nemo is his dream role. Love a good Jules Verne character. I am happy that Nic is giving his fans a little peak at the type of person he is.

​@@GunBlade79 In the original Jules Verne's novel his nationality or ethnicity isn't specified. A later spinoff (also by Verne) retconned him to be the prince of Dakar. Therefore, Indian. However, he could play a version of the character that is not Indian. It's not like he's playing a real-life figure. Fictional characters get race-swapped all the time. Besides, the novel is long due for a modern-day adaptation and Nic Cage would be awesome in it.

Nick is only 58 years old, that makes me happy, hope we have a lot more of his creativity to enjoy in the future.

I just saw Massive Talent and it’s really funny, lighthearted and loved that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. The chemistry between Nicolas and Pedro Pascal is off the charts, any fan of Nicolas Cage is going to love this movie.
