So does the internet have something against Nicholas Cage...I mean he did have a string of years of some pretty....mediocre movies but he had a lot of great ones before that and hes made the one they were talking about here and Renfield since that I know of both very fun movies. I heard once he got himself into some financial trouble and thats why he was just churning out ....stuff for so long. No idea if thats true or not but I guess I had no idea the internet didnt like him.

This interview should be an hour long and still not enough.

He is an academy award winner. He was nominated for another. He made The Rock, Face Off, Raising Arizona, Con Air, Leaving Las Vegas and Lord of War the timeless classics they are today. Great actor. I met Mr Cage on multiple occasions in Las Vegas at the PetSmart that I worked at and he was so humbled, what a great guy and yes he is a tall man lol. I helped him out to his I believe it was a Cadillac wagon multiple times when he bought dog food for his Rottweiler I believe the breed was at the time and noticed he loved wearing big rings on his hands. When Mr Cage came into PetSmart, he acted like any old Joe not some hey I'm here kind of superstar stud that usually walks through the doors. What a nice down-to-earth guy he was not to mention what a huge fan I have been of his all my life and just loved this new movie of his. Keep up the good work Nick Cage, you're like a bottle of fine wine that just keeps getting better.

I swear this dude is from another planet lol. Only he would wear a silver suit and absolutely crush it. How could you not love Nick Cage? The man is a legend in many ways

Nicolas Cage is fascinating. The way he talks, what he says… just everything about him. I can watch him talk for hours.

He is one of the few genius that we had right now on this entire earth. He is the reason why I started watching movies, his movies such as Con Air, Face off, Leaving Vagas, Bad Leutinent, national treasure are the living example of his range, craft, passion and intelligence, such a humble guy, true legend and a sincere student of Cinema, I hope Tarentiono and Cage would team up for a movie, since they both share the similar passion and devotion for Movies.

Con Air makes him a MEGA STAR!!

I was in New Orleans in summer 2009, eating at an outdoor cafe in the French Quarter, when Cage came by to eat too (with his wife and son). A live band was playing and he bought the band's CDs and gave them out to some of the tables dining as well as paid for their meals. Also posed for photos with anyone asking. Very gracious guy.

Nice! That's a lot more interesting than my story, where he and Patricia Arquette, apparently on a date, dipped into the audience for the planetarium show at the Griffith Park Observatory (entering some time after the lights had gone dark, and leaving before they came back up). I guess the common thread in both is that Nic doesn't comport himself like an untouchable movie star.

The film was released in 2009, but was filmed in 2008. Cage lived in New Orleans since 2007, I think, when he bought the supposedly haunted LaLaurie mansion.

The thing I really enjoy about Nick is his insanely incredible ability to work his characters to the limits. Without taking himself so seriously. Cause plying Nick Cage is just too much fun!!! LoL

I love him and Jean Claude Van Damme. Both of them are in a class of their own. They both stand out.

Never seen an up close in person interview with Nicolas Cage...he was super interesting and funny. Def have him back every week his stories are great!!

I love Nick Cage movies.

Nicolas Cage do this same thing Anthony Hopkins does: they are always themselves in virtually all their movies. But for some weird reason, it works so damn well for both of them. And both have made movies in all genres.

Cage must be great to be with because he loves to have new experiences and his imagination is so rich. He does his own thing, makes his own choices, and doesn't let the media stop him from being his authentic self.

Nicolas Cage is one fascinating character . What a great interview.

I've loved Nic Cage since Peggy Sue Got Married in 1986 and still to this day adore him. Being an odd duck in a way is a good thing! Life would be so boring if we were all the same. So a fan for 36 years.....I'm 64. I have 2 favorite movies, 1st- City of Angels, 2nd Family Man.....however tied with those are Con Air and Face Off. Completely different movies....just love Nic.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was amazing. Nicholas Cage always delivers on entertainment but this movie was a masterpiece in story telling.

This was a wonderful interview start to finish that I didn’t know I wanted!

I used to work at a restaurant in San Francisco in the mid-late 90s where Nick was a regular. Sometimes he came in with his pals. Sometimes he came in with Patricia and the kids. He was always cool, laidback and tipped damn well. Legit dude 👍🏼

Good on him. No surprise that he tips well. He has a generous spirit, and the bucks to accompany it. I'm a pauper, except when it comes to tipping. My tip baseline is 20%, minimum; I know how hard wait persons work, and how poorly they're paid. Be like me 'n Nick. Be generous. An extra few quarters won't break the bank, and these working folk will appreciate you.

Nick Cage is one of the best actors of all time. When people say he’s “over the top” they’re really just saying that he is committed. He IS! The only time I’m ever “let down” by him is when a film franchise tries to reduce his “cageness”!!!

I'm one of those that watched National Treasure on DVD multiple times...like over 50 times lol it was one of those feel good films for me 👍🏼

Nicholas Cage, super entertaining, light hearted, and fun to watch. Regardless of the quality of the script or plot, I enjoy watching him act. He was particularly funny as Bill Firpo in Trapped in Paradise with Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz. 😂. Fun fact... he introduced Johnny Depp to acting.

Say what you want about Nick Cage being Nick Cage in every movie, but the reality is that it works because he's such a likable human.

Just watched this movie today.... if you're a 90s Nic Cage fan you will enjoy it. Very silly and lots of fun. Nice to see him having fun and not taking himself too seriously

I think even Nick underestimates how much star power he actually has.

❤ Being John Malkovich is another movie that uses a real actor playing a version of himself- that was released in 1999. I am excited to see Nicolas Cage's film - it looks hilarious

He is beyond the concept of a good or bad actor - he just exists in something he is unique

The interview ended just as Cage was getting into a groove. Seems like he's embraced his wackiness and the audience is laughing with him instead of at him. That's a big difference. Dude's had a wild life it seems and he still hustled and pulled it all together again. I'm happy he has a comeback, I always wished it would happen, because I think there's something there with him. BUT, he hustled long and hard. Hope he does realize he has earned respect of people by working so hard and doesn't waste it just on wacky stories and being turned into a "crazy uncle Nic" kind of celebrity. He deserves better.

@@lightup6751 His catalogue reminds me of Christopher Lee, who was a legend but also liked taking random roles. I think his preference to overact and exaggerate first started the memes, but his PR has clearly turned it around. What a colorful guy, who is just earnest in being himself.

I like how honest Nic Cage is, just telling stories and being hinself 100%. A nice change in interviews like these where it's usually planned boring questions and/or marketing speak.
