    The best parts of this video: good video quality to see the characteristics and color of the leather, clear sizing info, the play-dough description of the volume lol, and the explanation/illustration of the toe shape. I love the leather, and I agree, man, that single piece heel stay and lower heel really makes this one! Loved the whole video!

    I love that leather! I'm a huge fan of Nicks (learned about them through Weston). I agree their finish is nicer than White's. I ordered a pair of bounty hunter with this same leather. I called Nicks and asked them if they could brogue the toecap and unfortunately they said no so I had to go with Whites. My leather has started to patina and darkened considerably, it looks so awesome! This leather seems harder to break in for me than my other pairs and I even own a pair of builder pros. I recently discovered the Prospector and I'd really like to have a pair made with the slightly lower heel, I love the dogger heel profile, I'm not a fan of "block" heels.

  • @trinityhandmade3864

    @trinityhandmade3864

    2 жыл бұрын

    Did you get the block heel on the bounty hunter or the woodsman heel? I have a friend who has some bounty hunters in this leather and it’s actually much thicker than the side that Nicks used with my boots, so the tougher break in makes sense! They are beasts! Congrats on the pickup, those White’s are probably very nice. I have 6 pairs of White’s so I’m a big fan. I think you’ll really like the prospector you should absolutely do it!

    Sometimes you can see a line of demarcation on plain toes, but this leather is so thick I would doubt it. It shouldn’t change the shape at all though as it’s still made on the same last. The difference in thickness would be minuscule IMO.

    Have you worn any Nick's brand boots ? I wear a pair of Nick's Robert's (55 Last) and Nick's Prospector (67 Last). My observation is that the 67 Lasted Predator boots have a squared off toe shape which makes the boot "fit wider" than the Nick's 55 Lasted Robert. So, the combination of a squared off toe shape plus the sprung toe profile makes the Prospector model have more forefoot and toe room than most other boots. If you normally wear a D width I expect that the Prospector in D width will be plenty wide enough for you. Also, if you are considering CXL know that leather is very soft and supple which can cause a pair of footwear to feel a bit "looser on the foot" than some thicker more rigid leather uppers might feel.

    @@sf_raiders_fan3520 so I ended up seeing a pair of Prospectors in an amazing makeup appear on the Ready to Ship page. I pounced on them as they were an 11E. I wanted an E as everyone says the 11067 is narrow. I would say they are definitely narrow. These E’s are not even as wide as my D width Wolverine 1000 Miles. No way I could fit my D feet into the 11067 in a D. The 11E is a great fit on my feet. The only issue is the arch. I’ve never had any boots with this kind of feel. I was honestly going to get an HNW if I ordered a pair. I think I’ll get used to the arch. The look is worth a little extra pain during break in.

It would make the boot better with much less time to break in Brake in time generally is not necessary if the boot fits. This is used to avoid the problems with the customer.
