Like most quality things, in time they show it's worth. I'm sure those boots will look great in about 3months with dark brown laces. They gotta break In to look good.

Interesting review. I'm new to the Heritage boot world and just purchased a pair of Vibergs in their 2030 last, calfskin, with 9 eyelets. I ordered a full size down from my Brannock size as recommended. Boots were snug at first but at a week in are getting more comfortable. One thing I noticed under my heels was a slight sensation of bumps I guess is the best way to describe it. Again I'm a novice at this and was wondering what part of the construction would be causing this, nails, glue, not sure? In your experience with Viberg have you come across this and if so does it go away once the boots are fully broken in? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Instead of stitching the Kiltee to the Tongue; Punch 2 lateral holes 0.5inches apart halfway up the vamp and thread the lace through. Or, better yet, make 2 vertical parallel slits about 0.25-0.5inches apart and thread the laces through. Or, get a velcro strip and glue them to the tongue and kiltie. Either one of these idea will ensure easier removal during cleaning and its super easy a DIY

Its amazing quality for price. Bought 2 pairs on black friday and another pair on b-grade sale. First two pairs cost me 290 each and b grade cost me 240. Still little more than thursday boots but leather quality and construction is night and day.

I don’t know how old you are, but those Boondock boots are the same or should I say they look the same exactly as the ones made when I was coming up back in the 70s that you could buy from JCPenney’s. Most guys would take them to a shoe cobbler and have tire tread soles sold on them. Those are pretty cool dude you got some good ones. I wish I still had me a pair the ones back then look like to me you got the exact reproduction of the ones that were worn back in the 70s from JCPenney‘s.👍🏾

I'm hype,, i got some barely used Wesco custom Jobmaster ordered today on ebay.. only 350 shipped and look like new,, these look real nice.. the shape of this n Johannes are so unique n stylish.. I'm mainly wanting a Whites bounty hunter ornament toe cap black CXL and a Nicks urban logger 100 lug but came up on nice Wesco.. had to.. cause i won't do their wait times.. and most the used ones ppl get are either engineer or lace to toe, or real thick Jobmasters and i don't like any of those styles

Perhaps I don’t know what there is about Vince to have an issue with. I mean, I watched his interview with Dale and he mentioned as an aside that the Stichdown podcast guys don’t really like him. I guess you could say he comes off as blunt but I don’t get it. Is it like an inside baseball deal? I mean I’ve messaged Truman before with questions and they’ve always been really friendly.

You must be Canadian as I’m looking at those viberg service books from Brooklyn clothing so your video was very helpful. I actually called them today cause I can’t figure out other than the toe cap the difference from direct from viberg vs Brooklyn (weirdly cheaper to buy from Brooklyn). I’m also so torn with plain toe vs cap toe. I’m struggling with the minimum clean lines of a plain toe and one solid leather vs what I understand is a stitched on toe cover and not a second layer which makes sense to give the boot a sleeker look. 1st world problem, but any any help with this would be awesome.
